Adeline Pohlman, near Delphos, was stranded in Tiffin when the Pohlman car developed mechanical trouble. They then went to the home of an uncle of Wilma Murray who was a passenger in the car and called to Delphos for assistance. After waiting for some time, a cousin of Miss Murray, Francis Schatzinger, 20, nephew of Mrs. William Murray, East Seventh street, offered to drive the girls to Delphos. In the meantime a Delphog car arrived and the party of Delphos girls split up and decided to come here in the two Those who were brought to Delphos in the Schatzinger care were: Mary Jo Ott, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Joseph Ott, East Third street; Marie Pauline Osting, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Osting, south of Dorothy Pohl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Henry Pohl, Adams street; Mary Catherine Pohlman, near Delphos; Wilma Murray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Murray, East Seventh street; Edith Brickner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Brickner, west of Delphos; and Della Klausing, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Hubert Klausing, South Jefferson street. After returning to this city, Mr. Schatzinger drove to the Klausing residence and left off the Klausing girl. The car then drove north on Jefferson street and directly into the path of a westbound extra passenger train on the Pennsylvania.

The automobile, a two-door Terraplane, was completely demolished and pushed partially onto the south track of the Pennsylvania, A Delphos wrecker was called to pull the debris from the tracks. The Harter and Son ambulance was to the scene. Miss Ott died enroute to the hospital in the ambulance. Miss Osting died a few minutes after being admitted to Rita's hospital in Lima. Miss Pohlman and Miss Pohl were admitted at the hospital and a time early Thursday morning their conditiong were considered serious.

Reports from the hospital Thursday afternoon, however, were to the effect that the conditions of both girls are considered satisfactory. Miss Pohlman has five 'fractured ribs and Miss Pohl has an injury to her right eye and her left ear. Miss Murray and Miss Brickner were removed to the office of a lophysician for treatment and later taken' to; their homes. Both were cut and bruised and suffering from shock. Mr.

Schatzinger, the driver of car, escaped without Injury. The bodies of Miss Osting and -Miss Ott were removed to. the: Jauman-Kolkmeyer funeral home Delphos. Mario Pauline Osting, south of Delphos, was born May 13, 1928 a daughter of Frank and Veronica, Osting, at Delphos, At the time of death she was seventeen years, eleven: months, and five days of She Wag a member of St. John's.

Catholic church and the Senior Class at John's high, school. Osting. had a prominent part the "Circus of 1946" to be held. St. John's auditorium May 3, and also had a part in the Senior Class Play being held at the auditorium May 12 and 13.

Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Osting, south of Delphos, and the following brothers and sisters: Moletus, Landeck, Eugene, Delphos, Mrs. Edwin Gru- benhoff, Ottoville, Mrs, Jerome Klaus, Delphos, Irvin, in the United States Army stationed in Germany, Edward, Donald, Alvin, twins, Earl and Earline, Vera, Norman and Roger, all at home, Also surviving are her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.

Fred Elwer, South Franklin street. Mary Josephine Ott, 803 East Third street, was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, February 24, 1928, a daughter of Joseph C. and Alvina Ott. She WAs a member of St. John's Catholic church and of St.

John's Senior Class, and had a leading part in the Senior class play which is to be given May 12 and 13. Last week she had taken an entrance test to St. Rita's School of Nursing, Lima. She was also quite talented in an artistic sense, having completed several portraits. Surviving, are her parents, Mr.

and Mrs. Joseph C. Ott and the following brother and sisters: Robert, Detroit, Michigan, Marcella, Los Angeles, California, Gladys, Donald, Norma Jean and Richard at home. The body of Miss Ott will remain at the Jauman-Kolkmeyer funeral home until time for the funeral services. The body of Miss Osting will be removed to the home of her parents Friday afternoon and on Sunday afternoon will be returned to the Jauman-Kolkmeyer funeral home where the remains will lie in state until time for the services.

Arrangements have been made to hold a double funeral at St. John's Catholic church here on Monday morning at 9:30. There will be a solemn requiem high mass. Burial will be made in St. John's cemetery here.
