Williams, Field Supervisor of the Emergency Crop and Feed Loan Office, Farm Credit Administration, announced today that loans are available to farmers for harvesting costs, the purchase 'Of feed for livestock and poultry, and 'the production of winter grains, alfalfa and other hay crops wlvch are to-be harvested, including seed, fuel and oil, repairs and other expenses incidental to the production and harvesting of crops. Applications for these loans are received by County Agent's Secretary, at Lima, Ohio. Such loans are made to small farmers, either owners or tenants, who own or have the use of the no-pessary workstock and equipment, need funds to meet their cash requirements, can give a first llien on their crop and cannot obtain a loan on reasonable terms from other sources. Loans are also -made for the purchase of feed for livestock and poultry be'Jng fed for commercial purposes under the same general terms and cond'tions except that a first mortgage is required on the livestock or poultry to. be fed as security for the loan.

Ths fact- that an applicant is indebted to the Emergency Crop and Feed Loan Section by reason of loans made im pr'or years will not in itself prevent him from receiving iSavorable provided the applicant's reasons for non-payment were beyond his control. Interest on these loans is charged at the rate of 4 per cent per annum from the date of disbursement to the tiVne of repayment. Squirrel Season to Open in This Section of State on September 22 Will Close on September 30. The next on the menu for Dclphos nimrods is the squirrel season. The Ohio Div of Conserva- ti-on and Natural Resources is making a check up, through its seven district offices, on the prospects for the squirrels season which peons in September.
