W. T. Matters graciously opened their home to the Girl Scouts, Friday night, the occasion being a St. Patrick Day's party. Elizabeth Matters, Laura Beth Davis, Lucille Barlow, Louise Roberts, Virginia Stratton and Alice Taylor were the hostesses and so nicely had they planned for the entertain- ment of their guests that there was not a dull moment from the time the Blarney Stone was kissed till the last good night was said.

In the. lively contests, Mary 1 Louise Saxton tore the best pig from paper; Alice Matters, with eyes blindfolded, drew the best Irish potato; Margaret McGinty was consoled, and Sallie Stewart received greaf honors. The house was attractively decorated in Irish flags, streamers and shamrocks, the color scheme of green also being carried out in the delicious refreshments, which consisted of a salad course and sweet cakes, cut to represent shamrocks. Fruit punch was also served during the evening. A shamrock souvenir was presented to each one, and so merry a time had they enjoyed that for once, no matter what their descent, they were glad to be "Wearin'of the BUY Sell and exchange all kinds of household goods.
