But whether or not you have made this trip, you'll be interested, as a motorist, in knowing that the Pierce-Arrow cars used in this service are lubricated with Zerolene. The manager of this famous stage line writes: "We have been operating a stage line since 1911 and have always used Zerolene. Recently we disposed of some cars that had been in our service for ten years, and dtir- ing that period none of them had ever had a bearing scraped." Whether you drive a Pierce-Arrow or a Ford, the use of Zerolene, of the proper body, will not only cut down your oil bill, but give you greater gasoline mileage, less carbon, lower upkeep costs, and a longer life for your car.

The contest was a decided success as' all the seven boys learned how to make a profit with hens. They all are going to continue in the chicken business. The winners were selected on the following basis: Egg production 50 per cent Profit 20 per cent Essay 10 per cent Records 10 per cent Exhibit of 1 hen 10 per cent Freddie 'Waugh's dozen hens pro duced 1027 eggs in 118 days which is an average of 8,8 eggs per day or a lay of 73 per cent which is very good considering January and February were included in the four months period.

He received $20.50 for eggs during this time and paid out for feed $6.90, this giving him a gross profit of $13.60 or $1.13 per hen which Is exceptionally good for a four months period. Most poultry- men don't make much greater profit a year than this. David Filben, who won second had an egg production of 998 while Max Thornton's hens produced 1013 eggs. My father put in the windows. January fifth, father and I went to Hopland Stock Farm days or an average of 85.68 eggs per hen.

I like to take care of chickens and intend to make a business of it, keeping up my records. I want to know how many eggs my hens will lay in a year.
