INDYSTAR FRIDAY, JANUARY 29, 2016 13A OBITUARIES Susan Kelley Jordan 69, Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016. Susan was the principal of Amy Beverland Elementary School and the past principal of Brook Park Elementary School. She was born August 15, 1946 in Evansville, IN to the late Robert L. and Mary K. Kelley.

She was a member of the St. Alban's Softball Board, CIAGC (Central Indiana Association for Gifted Children) ASCD (Association for School Curriculum Development) and the Indi Robert E. "Bob" Pearcy 89, a life resident of Danville, died Jan. 27, 2016. "Bob" was born May 7, 1926 in Danville to Raymond L.

and Chloe A. (Miles) Pearcy. He was a graduate of Danville High School class of 1944, and received a BA degree in journalism from Butler University, class of 1951. "Bob" was inducted into the Danville High School Alumni Hall of Fame in 2005. "Bob" married Marthalyn "Marty" Lewis in 1947, she preceded him in death May 2015.

He was the owner and editor of the Gazette newspaper in Danville for 40 years prior to selling his newspaper to the Brownsburg Guide-Gazette. Bob's moniker for his own column was "Battin' The He was an active member of the Danville Christian Church for 66 years also serving his community with involvement in the Danville Rotary Club, of which he was a "Paul Harris the Danville Masonic Lodge 26, the Scottish Rite, Indianapolis Valley, and served as president of the Hoosier State Press. "Bob" served his coutnry in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Jan.

30, 2016 at the Danville Christian Church, with visitation there from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place in Danville South Cemetery. Survivors include his son, Robert L. "Bob" (Chong) Pearcy Danville; granddaughters, Sarah John and Saman-tha Pearcy; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Susan is survived by her daughters, Mary "Lisa" Elisabeth Jankowski and her husband, Andy and Amy Susan Din-widdie and her husband, Will; grandsons, Wilkes Dinwiddie and Josh Jankowski; granddaughters, Katherine Dinwiddie and Kelley Jankowski; brothers, Bob Kelley and his wife, Rosie and Dan Kelley; step-brother, John Steinhauer; stepsister, Virginia Garland; nephews, Bart Kelley and his wife, Sandy and Donny Kelley and his wife, Chase; numerous great nephews and nieces; and many other loving family members and devoted friends. Susan's family will receive friends Friday, January 29, 2016, from 2 to 8 p.m. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 100 West 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 3 p.m. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Interment will be conducted privately at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY. Bob was a 1953 graduate r'r1" of Arsenal Tech High School. He married Nancy J. Lukie, August 23, 1954 and she r. 79, died peacefully on January 27, 2016 with her family at her side. She was born 1 on August 28, 1936 to Kenneth Riley and Thelma Wilmoth Riley.

She graduated i V-jJ mm St fathprinp's Grartp Srhnnl anrt St t. A Mary's Academy. She married Joseph S. LaRosa on November 26, 1959. Together they are the proud parents of Joseph (Christina), Michael (Beth), Antoinette, Anthony, and Maria (Champ Chandler).

Robert was a veteran of WWII as a naval pilot and proud member of VPB 117, The Blue Raiders Squadron. As a pilot and navigator he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for exemplary service to our country. After the war he was a fire fighter but soon went to work for Western Electric, retiring in 1984.

He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Fatima Council and the Silvertones. He was also a member of the American Legion and Ancient Order of Hibernians. Funeral services will be Monday, February 1 at 9:30 a.m. at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church.

Steven W. Spinks II 34, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on January 26, 2016. He is survived by his sons; Jackson W. Spinks and Donny Harper, parents; Steve and Linda Spinks, sister; Angela (Jay) Pickett and grandmothers; Ann Doss and Bobbie West. George E. Gillaspy 72, of Clayton, died Jan. 28, 2016. Arrangements pending at Weaver Randolph Funeral Home, Danville. Joe and Dee were charter members of St.

Barnabas parish, where she served in various positions of religious education for nearly 30 years. She also was a long-serving cantor for Saturday night Mass. Dee graduated from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in 1992 with a degree in Theology. Her last position before her retirement at St.

Barnabas was the Director of Religious Education. In 1988, Joe and Dee moved to Downtown Indianapolis where they enjoyed many happy and vibrant years. They travelled extensively and frequented the theater and the symphony. After moving downtown, they became members of St. Thomas Aquinas parish, and for the last ten years, Immaculate Heart of Mary parish.

Dee is survived by her loving and devoted husband, her children, 15 grandchildren, and her brother, Donald Riley (Diana). Calling will be held at Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St.

Mark Catholic Church, 535 E. Edgewood Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227 on Monday, February 1, at 11 a.m. with calling 1 hour prior at the church. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
