POLLY'S POINTERS Convert Litter Into Ash Trays Bv POLLY CRAMER Polly's Problem DEAR years ago I covered a bedroom window with that popular adhesive-backed paper to keep the light out. Now I want to remove this paper and do hope some of the readers can tell me how to do DEAR of my Pet Peeves concerns labels that are sewn into the seams of upholstered furniture. Even after their removal a part is left clearly visible because of the way it was attached plus the fact that the label was seven to a front seam. Also labels are sewn to the OUTSIDE of waistbands to boys' trousers. I see no reason why they could not be sewn on the inside so the seam would not have to be ripped in order to completely remove the DEAR husband's work shoes and boots developed an odor after several months wear but after we shook a little borax into the shoes the odor completely disappeared.

Now we also use it in our tennis shoes. Charlene might try this in her wooden clogs that have an L. B. DEAR forests and side roads might be kept cleaner if aluminum refreshment cans were saved and put to use rather than being pitched out along the way. To make ash trays and other table decorations cut off the top of a can with old scissors or tin a hole can be made on the side so the scissors blade can be inserted to start.

Next cut "i-inch strips from the top to within one-fourth inch of the bottom. Finally curl these strips with a round toy stick with a slot in it or an old slotted screw driver. These curls could extend up from the round base as high or low as wanted to make space for cigarettes when the cans are used for ash ANN. DEAR the lamb's wool on your hand shoe buffer gets worn and full of polish slip it in a worn- out Orion or nylon knee sock. This is a sure way to have shoes with a spit-shine J.
