Peninsula Players open their Summer season of three productions with gaily-spoofing British satirical revue "Beyond the Fringe." Being shown for the first time in this area, "Beyond the Fringe" is the work of authors Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, Alan Bennett and Jonathan Miller. It plays Thursday through Saturday nights (8:30) in the Players' barn theater (on Route 303) and is repeated July 11-13 and July 18-20.

In the Peninsula cast are Eric Conger (who also directs), Bob Helsel, Randy Pope, Randy Hemmings. The number for ticket reservations is 657-2123. The light-hearted, romantic musical comedy "The Fantas-ticks" continues nightly except Mondays through July 28 a Weathervane Playhouse. Shows are at 7:30 Sundays, 8:30 all other nights. Wooster's Arena Fair Summer Theater, currently staging Rodgers and Hammer-stein's "Carousel," has 8:30 shows tonight through Wednesday and again Friday through Sunday.
