Trial move to be costly FROM PAGE A1 Clerks from the district court clerk's office likely would have to stay at the site in the early stages to process jury questionnaires and set up the jury selection process. Saline County Attorney Julie McKenna, Assistant County Attorney Tom Stanton and perhaps a staff person from their office will be at the new site during the trial. The county will have to provide courtroom security. Crawford County hired off duty officers from the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Department to provide security, and that's the hope of Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski. "I can't afford to send people clear across the state to sit for 30 to 60 days or whatever," he said.
