12DKeno Gazette-Journal Wednesday, November 3, 19S2 OBITUARIES A bird in the Katherine S. M. Whitledge CARSON CITY Katherine S. Martin Whitledge, 80, died Saturday in a Carson City hospital. She was born Sept.

28, 1902, in Colorado, and had lived in Carson City for four years, coming from Concord, Calif. She was a retired registered nurse. Surviving are daughters, Cecelia White, of Seattle, and Katherine Ginsburg, of Carson City; stepson, William Whitledge of Mission Viejo, stepdaughter, Peggy Capparelli, of Garden Grove, Calif. sisters, Isabel Lock, of Los Altos, Marta Malmsjo, of Florida, and Rose Ruppenthal, of Carson City; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m.

Thursday at the Golden Gate National Cemetery Chapel, San Bruno, Calif. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements. Mildred A. Wilson CARSON CITY Mildred Aletha Wilson, 61, died Monday in a Carson City hospital. She was born March 6, 1921, in Sargent, and had lived in Carson City for 17 years, coming from South Lake Tahoe, Calif.

She was a retired keypunch operator for Carson City. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Capitol City Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Clarence, of Carson City; brothers, Arland Wolf, of Lakeside, and Lawrence Wolf, of Colorado Springs, Colo. and sisters, Marie Predmore, of Eva, and Esther Long, of Hooker, Okla.

Visitation is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. A funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial will be at the Lone Mountain Cemetery.

A memorial is being established with the American Cancer Society, 605 Washington Reno, 89503. Oren W. Walker CARSON CITY Oren Wilbur Walker, 69, died Friday in a Carson City care center. He was born Jan. 1, 1913, in Carson City to William and Eleanor Muldoon Walker.

He graduated from Carson City High School. Walker was a retired chief roadway design engineer for the Nevada State Highway Department. He was a member of the Carson City Eagles Lodge and was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his widow, Margaret, sons, Daniel and William, all of Carson City; sons, Thomas, of Reno, and John, of Sparks; and several nieces and one nep hew, Mass oi Christian Burial was celebrated today at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Stewart. Burial will be at the Lone Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Gerald F. Kelly Gerald Francis Kelly, 64, died Friday in a Yuma, hospital. He was born 11, 27, 1917, Fremont, Neb. He was a longtime Reno resident before moving to Yuma six years ago. Kelly was a painter.

He was a member of the Painters Local 222; Reno Elks Lodge 597, and the Yuma Elks Lodge 476. He was an Army veteran. Surviving are his widow, Mary of Yuma; daughter, Marsha Jean Huff, and a brother, Paul, both of Reno; stepdaughter, Pam Russell, of Fair-view Heights, 111., stepson, Larry Reese, of Orlando, Fla; mother, Dora Kelly, of Carson City; sister, Izola Langley, of Carson City; sister, Adell Marcucci, of Big Bear, California; and eight grandchildren. A funeral was held today at the Kammann Mortuary, Yuma. Private burial will be at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Yuma.

0 Drew Alger Ray M. Marsh Ray M. Marsh, 88, died Friday in Palo Alto, hospital. A native of Walwroth, he was born Jan. 12, 1894, and had lived in Reno since 1954.

He was a retired farmer. Marsh was an Army veteran of World War I and was a member of the Sun Valley Kingdom Hall, Jehovah's Witnessess. Surviving are his widow, Bertha, of Reno; sons, Willis, of Rio Linda, Louis, of Roseville, and Marcus, of Joplin, Mo. daughters, June Kellen-barger, of Carson City, and Shirley Tolbert, of Sacramento; brothers, William, of Nebraska, and Frank, of Fresno, 17 grandchildren; and 25 greatgrandchildren. A funeral is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

Thursday at the O'Brien-Rogers and Crosby Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery. William F. Martin A funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at the O'Brien-Rogers and Crosby Funeral Home for William Finley Martin.

Martin, 77, died Sunday in a Reno hospital. A native of Lenoir, N.C., he was born May 23, 1905, and had lived in Nevada since 1919, moving to Reno in 1952 from Winnemucca. He was a mechanic for Washoe County. Martin was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a chief machinist mate. Surviving are his widow, Pearl, and a son, Rudy, both of Sparks; brother, Leo, of Washington; brother, Mel, and sisters, Erma Coil and Virginia Petrovich, all of California; three grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery. FALLON Drew Alger, 86, died Sunday at his residence. He was born June 8, 1896, in Nebraska, and moved to Fallon in 1980. Alger was a retired furrier from Sheridan, Wyo. He was an Army veteran of World War and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Surviving are his widow, Anna, and a daughter, Evelyn Bulkley, both of Hyde Park, Utah; daughter, Arlene Bishop, of Fallon; son, Milton, of Hager City, 12 grandchilren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Vistation is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday at the Austin, Matson and Smith Funeral Home until the 10 a.m. graveside funeral at the Fallon Cemetery. Nina E.

Conner FALLON Nina E. Conner, 88, died Sunday in a Carson City care center. She was born Jan. 16, 1894, in Fallon to William Arthur and Inez Sanford Harmon. She moved to Fernley in 1955, where she and her husband, Fred, operated a motel.

She moved to Carson City nine years ago from Fernley. Surviving are a daughter, Iola Reininger, of New Braunfels, Texas; son, Howard, of Yuma, five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. FitzHenry's Capital City Mortuary, Carson City, is in charge of local arrangements. Visitation is scheduled Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m.

Mrs. Cutten was a librarian for Washoe County Schools for 25 years. Surviving is a daughter, Joanne deLongchamps, of Reno. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Ross, Burke Knobel Mortuary. Eda Gorodinsky A graveside funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Thursday at the Hebrew Cemetery for Eda Gorodinsky, 89, who died Saturday in a Reno hospital. A native of Russia, she was born Dec. 28, 1892, and had lived in Reno for nine years. She was a registered nurse, having worked in New York and California. Mrs.

Spicer, a former Reno television announcer and author. Spicer, 61, died Oct. 27 in a Reno hospital. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, he was born 1921, and had lived in Reno for 12 years, coming from Los Angeles. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are a son, Scott, of Salt Lake City; sons, C.B. and Daniel, and a daughter, Pamela Francis, all of Charlotte, N.C. and three grandchildren. Walton Funeral Home, Reno, was in charge of arrangements. Creta B.

Rogers Creta B. Rogers, 78, died Oct. 22 in a Reno hospital. A native of Iowa, she was born July 9, 1904, and had lived in Reno for 34 years. She was in real estate investments.

Surviving are a daughter, Helen Goodnight; sisters, Alice Jordan, of Twin Falls, and Helen Ayers of Newport, two grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. No funeral was held. Inurnment was at the Mountain View Cemetery. Francis W. Troup Francis William Troup, 54, died Oct.

26 in a Reno hospital. A native of Victoria, B.C., he was born Jan. 1, 1928, and had lived in Reno for five years. He was a bartender at the Bundox River House. Troup was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are a brother, Roy, of Roseburg, and a sister, Sonia Ridley, of Santa Maria, Calif. No funeral is scheduled. Inurnment was at the Sierra Crematorium under the direction of Walton Funeral Home, Reno. Esther C. Larson Esther C.

Larson, 89, died Oct. 26 in Los Angeles. A native of Akron, Ohio, she was born Sept. 19, 1893, and had lived in Reno for 25 years, moving to Los Angeles four years ago. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are a sister, Ruth Kuntz of Los Angeles; and one nephew and one niece.
