Washoe County Chief Crimi nal Dist. Atty. Larry Hicks said the warrant for McPher son arrest was issued as a result of an investigation by the Reno Police Department and accountant for Armanko. He said the investigation re vealed amounts of the loss from the company were in ex cess of $85,000. Penalty for embezzlement is imprisonment of up to 10 years on each count, Hicks said.

McPherson was released Wednesday on $10,000 baill Thunderbird named in junket rule complaint CARSON CITY (AP)-A complaint seeking a $22,000 fine from the Thunderbird Hotel in Las Vegas for alleged junket regulation violations has been filed here. Dave Polley, legal counsel for the Nevada Gaming Control Board, said Wednesday the board is claiming that the Thunderbird housed junkets brought into the state by 22 jun-: keteers who had not registered' with gaming officials. The complaint marks the sec-Mid such claim against a Ne-! vada casino since the state's junket regulations were adopted last October in efforts to insure that underworld types were kept out of such oper ations. The Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas was slapped with a stiff $25,000 fine last July for failing to deliver data on its junket representatives to gaming au thorities. Junketeers are required to file data on their backgrounds and provide other information the state before they can bring high rollers into the state.
