Closer observation, however, showed a deep cut In his thront that apparently could not have been caused by an automobile tire, and tho nccepted theory attributed the untimely end to some enterprising and temperamental dog. The fellne creature was removed to the home of Charles Fitch, east of town, where in due course a painless execution was effected, mercifully promoting the transfer of the spirit that happy hunting ground perhaps is dotted here there with mice and half empty salmon cans. College Phone 42-J Greenville: Your Income Six per cent is all you spend of your total income for the services rendered by your utility companies, including gas, electric light, water and telephone. This is a good figure to spring on the person who that a reduction in utility rates would save hundreds of dollars a year to each customer.

The fact is that a reduction as great as eight per cent would only represent a saving to the average man of one-half of one per cent of his total income. The six per cent spent for all utility services compares with twelve per cent for clothing, fourteen per cent spent for movies, books, charities, sixteen per cent for rent and taxes, and forty-five per cent for food. The service rendered by the public service companies is a luxury in everything but cost. Greenville Natural Gas Company NU BONE CORSETS J. W.
