Page opened Nov. 1 and will continue through Nov. 25, appearing from 6:30 p.m. nightly except on Thursdays when the Cliff Jackson Orchestra takes the stage. Page draws dancers and listeners alike to Dominique's to hear the "big band sound" he presents.

Part of the versatility of Page's group comes from the 17 different musical instruments that Page has mastered. He takes many of these instruments on stage, and smoothly switches from one to another as the mood and tempo change. Backing Page are accordionist Vic Centro, bassist Bunky Jones and drummer Abe Celado. Cathi Hayes joins the group for vocals adding a style reminiscent of the vocalists of the big band era. Bill Page began his musical career at the age of six.

During World War II he was a conductor of the First Armored Division Band in Europe. He then played with hotel bands and toured with bands on the West Coast. For a time, Page even tried some acting on both television and movies. Then Page visited a friend who played with the Lawrence Welk Show. Page's friend suggested he talk with Welk.

After an audition in which Page skillfully played eight instruments, he was hired for a job that turned out to be a 12-year career. After working with Welk, Page moved on to free lance jobs and recordings. Working with small musical groups made Page realize that some sort of amplification was needed for many instruments if small groups were to have a "big band" sound. In 19G7, after several years of work with Thomas Organ engineers, an amplifier was perfected and Page organized an Am-pliphonic Orchestra. Tiny: Roberta usually plays Harvey's two or three times a year and when she's not in Nevada she can often be found on USO tours.

Last January she performed for four weeks in Korea in the height of winter and soon she leaves for a USO tour of Europe, touching down in Germany, Belgium and Holland. Biggest event of her career at present is her new group which she just formed. It wasn't long and Kiki was appearing too as singer, dancer, circus annalist.

Kiki and Paige III will appear at the Ormsbv House through Oct. 13. Also back at the Ormsby House is Miss Ree Brunell who appears nightly in the Mark Twain Casino Lounge. Big Tiny Little, best known as an alumnus of the Welk organization, provides a lively sound at the Eldorado, opening Nov. 5.

They ust returned from an Alaska cruise on The Spirit of London and they have another two week cruise lined up, beginning Feb. 15, to Mexico. Cruises are a fine opportunity for an entertainer to combine business with pleasure.
