TWO THE EVENING RECORt), GREENVILLE, PA. WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 4, 1907. EVENING RECORD Art Independent Newipaper. tcirl Morrison, John L.

Morrison, Publishers. WEST PYMATUNINO. The rain of Sunday night wae much heeded; corn, potatoes and pasture was suffering and farmers cotild hardly plow their wheat ground. Miss Elsie Steolsmith returned to Pulask) last Monday, after a two weeks' visit With her-parents. Our schools opened tip last Monday for seven-months' term.

Mr, nnd Mrn. Ed. Wade, A. Hewitt and wife, E. Fell nnd wife nnd others are attending the state fair at Columhus, this week, ReV.

J. C. Clark will preach his last sermon at the U. Evangelical church next Sunday, September 8. The Harvest Ho'me picnic at the Mathews' grove last Saturday, was well attended.

The crowd was estimated from 1,000 to 2,000 people. The Warren Juvenile band furnished some fine music and looked quite nobby In their fine uniforms. The band came over In a gasoline street car, Mr, Clark was on hand with his phonograph nnd discoursed flne music. The stands did a good business. Addresses were made by At tornoy Jones, Rev.

A. J. RuUedgo, Prof. Boyd and others. There were two ball games between Hartford and Orangevllle but we did not learn the results'.

The day was flne and all we'nt home feeling determined to have a flne time next year. A couple of painters are hero claiming to be from Buffalo. They have No. 3 school house and are now painting the residence of "John Dawes. between Orange- vllle street and Plum street, Greenville, handbag, containing money and pair oC glasses Reward "If left at this office.

s4-lw The LouUenhiser Reunion. The Louteznhlser reunion was held nt the home of Charles Loutzenhlser Wednesday, August 2S, 1907. The day was fine and n. large rrowd of friends had assembled before the dinner hour. Two hundred nnd one sat at the tables which groaned with the weight of good things.

This family reunion always) takes place the last Wednesday In AuguBt. TJie secretary, Harry Louteznhiser, acted as toast master and general manager. Rev. J. Wonders Is con- mfctert with the family by marriage, was colled upon for a speech.

He responded in a neat and Instructive address. Rev. Wonders Is part of the salt of the earth and when he talks he Is listened to with marked respect. The next speaker called for was Cousin John Louteznhiser, of Kansas. Ho has been away from his kindred for 38 years, more than a generation.

He gave a good account of himself during the 38 years of Itineracy. Governor Sheakley was called as the successor of the lamented A. D. Glllesple who attended these reunions and was the main speaker, Sheakloy paid a glowing tribute to Mr. Glllosplo and was a fit substitute.

John R. Packard, the world- renowned traveler, Is always In demand as a ready after-dinner speaker. Ho Is very fluent and might well bo called the silver-tongued orator of Greenville. Governor Sheakloy was surprised that he could so well. Ho said that he was nearly as good as he was by this time.

The afternoon was wearing awaj and most of them being farmers they were reminded of the milking and feeding of the animals, the rog ular routine business was transact ed and all departed for their homes all expecting to meet again next year at the home of Anderson Lout oznhlser.
