The district yesterday agreed to pay up to $25,000 for SCS Engineers Inc. of Cincinnati to develop a detailed plan to collect, transport and recycle tires in the counties. The district would probably seek proposals from companies interested in being part of the collection and transportation system, as well as from firms interested in using the scrap tires, said executive director Philip F. A native of New York, she had been an area resident most of her life. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was preceded in death by her husband, John.

Burkhart, of San Clem-ente, 54, was a writer and editor who made a career in public relations, specializing in the tire and truck industries. Born in Canton on Sept. 9, 1940, he attended public schools in Ohio, and Kent State University. He worked in Akron on various tire and automotive publications as writer and editor. He began his public-relations career at the Illuminating Company in Cleveland, and continued with Ohio Edison in Akron.

He was instrumental in founding Cleveland Magazine in 1971. He later owned and operated a weekly newspaper in Montana. He moved to San Clemente with his family in 1985 and worked for Lenac, Warford Stone, in Newport Beach. He is survived by wife, Nancy-Ann; daughters, Jennifer Daniels of Akron and Jessica of Switzerland; sons, Michael and Patrick Mobley of Akron; grandchildren, Lauren and Alexander; mother, Mary Louise Burkhart of Green Valley, brothers, Tim, Paul, Daniel, Mark, and Jon; and sister, Melissa. Private services have been held by the family.

James William Caver James William Caver, 71, departed from this earthly life to his home in rvir. beorge was Dorn in Wellsville, Ohio and resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1959, moving there from Canton. He retired in 1970 from Goodyear Research as a mechanical engineer in Machine Design, with 30 years of service.

He was a charter member of St. Ella and Edward Jackson, eight brothers and sisters, he is survived by beloved wife, Anna; stepdaughters, Helen Hill, Opal Sanders, Scarlet J. Sherman, Dorcas Shelton (Kenny Carr), and Gloria (Fred) Jones, all of Akron; stepsons, O'David (Darlene) Sherman, Stanford J. (Alia) Henderson of Atlanta, and Daniel (Lena) Frost of Newark, N.J.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Barbosa David R. Barbosa, 72, of Beaufort, N.C., formerly of Greentown, Ohio, passed away May 1, 1995 after a short illness. Born in Pennsyvlania to the late Anthony (Tony) and Elizabeth Barbosa, he was a graduate of Greentown High School Class of 1943. A World War II Marine Corps veteran, David retired from the East Ohio Gas Co. David was a charter member of the Greentown Athletic Club, where he was active until retiring to Beaufort.

He started and coached one of the first youth baseball teams in Greentown in the 1950s. He also was head football coach for many years of the Greentown Midget Team, and was the coach of the girls' first softball team. He was truly an inspiration to all the youth of the community. David was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Grace, who died April 6, 1995. His sister, Antonia, also preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sister, Rita; sister and brother-in-law, Silver and Leroy Thompson, all of Canton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Fredamae Barbosa of California, Napoleon and Dorothy Barbosa of Maryland; and a host of other relatives and friends. Lintner Charles O. Lintner, 73, died May 2, 1995 of a heart attack while en route to his home in Clearwater, from a vacation in the Bahama Islands. He was bom in Akron, graduated from St. Vincent High School, served in the U.S. Army in World War II, and then graduated from Ohio University in 1945, where he organized and was president of the Veteran's Organization.

He was the owner of Rentnil Leasing, Venturesales, Travel-Safe Trailer B.B.&G. Realty, and Ston-ey Hill Resources of Bath, and was a partner in Halleen Ford of Cleveland and Shreffler Chrysler of Seville. He was a member of Akron's Portage Country Club and Fairlawn Country Club, the West Hill Kiwanis, and was active in forming and generously supporting the Firestone High School Swim Team Booster Club. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Hattielu (Petie) Lintner; his children, Melanie Messmore (husband, John) of Reston, Charles (Kimberly) Lintner of Arlington, Va Carolyn Carr Lightner of Bath; and grandchildren, Brittany Messmore Hazzard of Ocean City, Tieman and Tanner Messmore, and Todd Lightner. A family-oriented man, he was preceded in death by his father, H.

J. Lintner, his aunt, Annette C. Lintner, his mother, Gladys Fankbon-ner, and sister, Loretta Wiesheier. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the charity of your choice. and Dorris (Wagoner) Everhart. She was active in volunteer work and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kent, Kent United Methodist Women, and Rachel Circle. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Foster sons, Ralph of San Francisco, David of St. Louis, and Mark of San Francisco, four grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Schneider of Munroe Falls: She was from a family of seven.
