The Fifteenth Regiment Goes 1 to Homestead at the Governor's Call--In Camp at Homestend. Governor Pattison finally called out the National Guard of Pennsylvania, Sunday, and early Monday morning every regiment was making preparations for business, Captain Mertz of Co. got his men together promptly, and guards were sent after some of the dilatory. However, nearly all the company who were able to go were in line. Colonel Kreps and Major Buckholdt, of the 15th Regiment, had came up at 1 p.m., and looked alter things generally.

At 5:42 p. they, with Co. boarded the S. L. E.

special train bearing Co. B. of Meadville and the regimental band, arriving at Radebaugh, near Greensburg, about midnight. The warlike preparations at the mental headquarters here kept a curious throng about the busiding all day, which increased to a large crowd as the time for the militia's departure drew nigh. At about noon a bystander insulted Captain Mertz.

who resented the insult, only to receive A black eye. As the Captain was in uniforms, it may prove a costly affair to the oflender, PREPARING FOR A STAY. Lieut. John L. Caldwell came up from Homestead yesterday morning for camp equipment and supplies, the supposition, being that the National Guard's stay would be protracted, postibly for several weeks.

Lieutenant Caldwell said there was no demonstration upon the arrival of the troops, as the people did not know when the militia would arrive. A reception to General Snowden was atteward arranged for, but he promptly forbade anything of the kind. A detail from camp consisting of C. F. Kidd and A.

K. Tate, arrived here yesterday noon, and together with George Baer and John Straub. returned last night with the equipage. IN CAMP AT HOMESTEAD. CAMP OF Co.

ISTH REGIMENT, N. G. HOMESTEAD, July 12. Special Correspondence of ADVANCE A Co. K.

arrived here this morning with its reigment at 9 o'clock. The 15th and 18th Regiments, with the division and brigade staff officers, were the first to enter Homestead The entire Second and Third Brigades are here ready for duty. The First Brigade is at Mt. Gretna ready to come in case of an emergency. The citizens welcomed the militia most heartily, having brass bands ready to greet them, and offering to carry the baggage 10 the camping ground for the boys.

Everything is quiet. No strikers are to be seen. Probabilities are now that the militia will stay here a week or ten days at least, and not go into camp at Ene. The trouble in the first place seems to have been caused by the Pinkerton men acting rashly in firing on the strikers. They came up the Monobgahela in barges and began firing on the men hefore they landed.

Seven rioters have died thus far from wounds, and about twenty-five Pinkerton men were missing after the riot. It is believed many them jumped from the barges and were drowned. The camping ground is on the south side of the Monongabela, on a bluff about 400 feet above the river, overlookthe city of Homestead. The boys are in good spirits. ONE OF THE Boys.
