Reed, 81, formerly of Hope, who died Friday at Blackwell, were held this morning at Hope. The Rev. E. A. Dawson officiated.

Burial was made in the Moravian cemetery. Batesville, July for Ambrose Schmidt, 82, who died at his home here Monday, were held at the St. Louis Catholic church Tuesday morning. He had been ill for several weeks. Survivors are his son, Mr.

Reed was born June and a daughter, Carrie. 1864, near Hope, and spent number of years of his younger life farming in the Hartsville community.
