Miller funeral directors. File -Evelyn M. Hill has filed suit for divorce from Roy Hill charging extreme cruelty and asking custody of their minor child. They were married at Waynesville, Dec. 23, 1943.

Susan D. Weiss has filed petition asking divorce from August C. Weiss, custody of the three minor children, alimony, child support and costs of the suit. The charge was extreme cruelty. -Special Thanksgiving dinner served from 11:30 a.m.

20 Memorial Service Memorial services for Harm Gastmann, 1-C, son of Mr. and Mrs. Egbert Gastmann, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Immanuel's Lutheran (Stateline) church, Rev. J.

21) Installs New Pastor--Rev. J. J. Timken was in charge of installing the new pastor, Rev. Leonard Heidemann at St.

Peter's Lutheran church in Wymore Sunday morning. Monday night there was.a reception at the church for the new pastor, his wife and four children. Rev. Heidemann served as a chaplin in the war and was recently discharged. His home is at Daykin.

Service Thanksgiving Day services at Trinity Lutheran church in DeWitt will be held at 10:30 0 a.m. Pastor E. F. Janssen's sermon will speak of Thanksgiving as an important part of Christian life. Clements, and other relatives at Wymore. Mrs. Richard Plebuch left for Omaha yesterday where she met her husband, CM 3-c, Richard Plebuch who had just received his di3charge from the seabees at St. Louis, Mo. Plebuch had arrived two weeks ago from the south Pacific after 27 months service there.

Mrs. Harold Lehr returned to her home in Lincoln today after visiting Mrs. Raymond Johnson and Mrs. Carl Allen. Miles Deardorf and son, Johnnie, of Callaway spent Monday in Beatrice at the Robert Steinmeyer home.

5 at the Christian church. program was an interesting and up to the minute round table discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of contpulsory military training by five high school students, Bob Penner as moderator, Bill Eyth and Erna Marie Trefz giving the advantages, David Graff and Wanda Young the disadvantages. When time was called after a fast vivd discussion, Bob Penner decided it would be up to congress to make the final decision. The first grade mothers had, the best attendance. Refreshments were served by the first grade mothers, Miss Dresser pouring.

Homemakers Club Riverview Homemakers club met Thursday at the home of Mrs. Bert Pence with Mrs. Carl Shaner and Mrs. Earl Humrich assisting hostesses. The lesson on clothing pointers for 1946 was given by the leaders.

Next meeting will be a Christmas party Dec. 12 at the home of Mrs. Will Steinmeyer with Mrs. Warren Sisler assisting. Each member bring a white elephant gift.
