Band to Present Concert Sunday The Oakland Municipal Band will present its regular concert at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, at Lakeside Park, it ' was announced today by Herman Trutncr Jr., leader. , Here's the program: Episcopal Student Pastor at Mills College Takes Vows Tomorrow At his ordination to the priesthood tomorrow, the Rev. G. Parker rrince will have the unusual ex perience of being ordained by hi father-in-law, the Rt. Rev. W. Bert-rand Stevens, D.D., bishop of Lot Angeles. The ceremony will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on Hillen Drive, at 11 o'clock. The Reverend Prince, who ii Episcopal student pastor at Mills College, will be presented by the Rev. John C. Leffler and Dr. H. H. Shires will preach the sermon. Litanisl is to be the Rev. Everett Bosshard, Dr. Randolph C. Miller will be epistoler and Dr. Shires, gospeller. Following the service of ordination a luncheon for visiting clergy and their wives will be served at the rectory. A graduate last year of the Church Divinity School, Berkeley, the Reverend Prince received his preliminary scholastic training at the University of Southern California, at Occidental College, where lie received his B.A. degree; and I lie University of the South, Scwanre, Trim. Motheri will be taught how to stand end walk correctly as examples to their offspring in classes in posture to be '" offered by the adult education department of the Berkeley Schools. Mrs. May G. Darrow, posture expert, will teach classes beginning as follows: WhiUier-University Elementary School, September 12; Ox-'ford School, September 14; Thousand Oaks School, September 15; John Muir School, September 20. Dancing steps and drills will supplement correct body mechanics in habits of evcry-day life to afford mothers a better understanding for guidance of children. Early registration is advised by school authorities as a result of popularity of past classes. j Dentists to Honor President-Elect A testimonial dinner in honor of Dr. Wilfred Robinson, presidentelect of the American Dental Association, will be held Tuesday night at the Hotel Leamington by the Alameda County Dental Association. Dr. Robinson has been a member of the county organization for many years, and is a past president of the organization.. Many members of other Bay region dental associations also will attend the dinner. Dr. J. Camp Dean will introduce Dr. Robinson, who will speak on coming activities of the National organization. St. Peter's Church Has School of Prayer The third anniversary of the school of prayer of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Broadway and Lawton Avenues, was observed at a meeting of the school this morning. Canon Lewis Douglas GottschalL who is in charge of the school, announced that the membership hat grown1 from five to 200 since it organization. A luncheon followed the meeting. Mars Is Good View Now by Telescope Mars and all of its colors can now be seen by peering through the 20-inch telescope at Chabot Observatory, announces Earle G. Lins-ley, astronomer in charge. In July, the planet was closer to earth than at any other time since 1924. The observatory is open to the public from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. daily, excepting Sunday, Monday and holidays.
