From 1907 to 1910 he was professor of humanities at the university. Father Wrenn was graduated from the preparatory school at Duquesne in 1897 and from the college in 1901. He was ordained in Paris in 1906. He had been chaplain at Mercy Hospital, Bay City. Funeral services will be held in Bay City Wednesday at 10 a.

m. Samuel Ray Samuel Ray, of Irwin, died in Deshon Hospital at Butler, Saturday. Services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday In the Rogers Funeral Home, Irwin, with burial in Irwin Union Cemetery.

Mr. Ruy, who was born in Irwin on April 12, 1879. was a retired machinist. He had been employed for 27 years by the Westinghouse Electric cV Manufacturing Co. He is survived by two sons.

Russell and Benjamin Rny, both of Irwin, and four grandchildren. His wife, Annie Loughner Ray, died in 1934. Mr. Ray was a member of Major James L. Srodes Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Wrenn Rev. Thomas A. Wrenn, 69, C.S. former professor at Duquesne University, died in Bay City, Saturday. Dr.

John Richie Bchultr. president of Allegheny College, died this rooming In Bpencer Hospital, Mead rille. He had been seriously ill for many weeks. Dr. Schultz was elected Allegheny's 14th president In 1943.

He had served there since 1917. first aa professor of English and then as dean of men. Bom in 1884 in Canton. he tended Canton High School and Culver-Stockton College, where he received a bachelor of arta degree in 1SC5. Attended l'ale After three years as principal of Canton High School, he entered Yale University.

He received a master of arts degree in 1909. For the next three years he was head of the English department at East St. one-week stands in the Midwest. Later he waa district superintendent of a circuit covering New England and New York. Studied Dialects Out of his experience as a boy in the Mississippi River town and as a teacher and showman in the Mississippi River area grew one of Dr.

Schultz's main interests the study of provincial speech and the lingo of rivermen. He wrote a number of articles on the subject. Dr. Schultz also wrote about Samuel Clemens, bringing to light a number of unpublished Mark Twain letters. His other publications include "Modern Essays." "The Unpublished Letters of Bayard Taylor" and "The Life of Alexander Barclay." In 1930 Dr.

Schultz became dean of men at Allegheny. He was named acting president in 1942 to fill the vacancy left by President William Pearson Tolley, now chancellor of Syracuse University. He received honorary degrees of Addy; one son. Charles Hugh K. McJunkin, and six grandchildren.

Williams Clyde Hugh Williams, who served with the Pennsylvania State Police and for the past 14 years was sergeant of police for the Conemaugh 9 a. m. in St. Anthony's Church. Mr.

Perl died Saturday while attending a family outing. He was 45. For 25 years he was employed as a machinist with the John F. Casey Co. A member of St.
