Beatrice Daily Sun, Beatrice, June 13, 1948 lp Miss Jacqueline Sand, Alfred Jones Married Miss Jacqueline Rae Sand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale E. Shafer of Odell, became the bride of Alfred W. Jones, son of Mrs.

J. D. Jones of Wymore, June 6 at the Bethel Presbyterian church south of Wymore. The Rev. P.

D. Davies of Wymore performed the double ring ceremony In the presence of 250 guests before the altar backed by a lighted trellis covered with pink roses and spruce boughs flanked on each side by seven-branch candelabra, ferns and baskets of garden flowers. Nnptial Music The nuptial music was played by Miss Virginia Malicky of Liberty. Mrs. T.

C. Jones of Wymore, aunt of the groom, sang "The Lord's Prayer" accompanied by Mrs. Maldwyn Closs and Mr. Mai- dwyn Closs sang "I Love You Truly" preceding the ceremony. The candles were lighted by Janet Dienstbler of Liberty, cousin of the bride, who wore a floor length dress of light blue nylon with a corsage of pink roses.

Robert Sand, brother of the bride, unrolled the carpet. The bride was escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father. Her gown was of white satin, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, gathered bodice with lace inserts from the shoulder to hemline, the full skirt which ended in an aisle wide train was edged in lace. Lace inserts were at the top of the full sleeves that tapered to points at the wrist. Her double veil was of fingertip length edged in wide lace matching the lace of her gown and was held in place by a tiara of orange blossoms.

Her bouquet was of red roses edged with baby- breath and tied with white satin ribbon. Her only jewelry was a triple strand of pearls, a gift of the groom. Attendants Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Eloise Vrtiska of Wymore, sister of the groom. The bridesmaids were Miss Beth Kellough of Chicago, 111., cousin of the bride, and Miss Leona Ouellette of Washington, Kans.

Mrs. Vrtiska was gowned in blue while the bridesmaids were pink. Their floor length gowns were identical and were of net over satin, fashioned with fitted bodice, round neckline, puff sleeves and full skirts with a short peplum in the back. They wore matching mitts of net and bows of satin in tPleir hair. Each wore a strand of pearls and carried colom'al bouquets.

Sondra" Kay Jones, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Her floor length gown of white net over satin was fashioned the same as the bride's attendants. She wore pink and white sweet peas in her hair, a pink corsage and carried a basket of sweet peas. 'The bride's brother, Dallas Shafer, dressed in a white suit I and wearing a white carnation i' boutoniere carried the rings on a white satin pillow. William D.

Sand, brother of the bride, as best man. Elwin and William Jones, brothers of the groom, were the other attendants. Ushers were Robert Sand of Odell and G. L. Pangburn of Lincoln.

Mrs. Jones, mother of the groom, chose a dress of rose print and Mrs. Shafer, mother of the bride, an aqua two piece dress, both with white accessories. Each wore a corsage of pink roses. Reception Following the wedding the reception was held in the church basement.

The bride's table was centered with a three-tier wedding cake topped by a miniature bride and groom standing in front of a large wedding bell and decorated with small white bells, pastel roses and white scrolls and flanked by lighted candelabra. A bowl garden flowers centered the serving table which was in charge of Mrs. Ben Ahlvers of Wayne, aunt of the groom, and Mrs. Albert Sand of Beatrice, aunt of the bride. Mrs.

Ardath Kellough of Chicago, 111., aunt of the bride, cut the wedding cake. Mrs. Ora Kannarr of Odell was in charge of the kitchen. Serving were the Misses Glenna Moore, of Liberty, Marcia Sand of Beatrice, and Betty, Gladys, Carolyn and Lucille Jones of Wymore, cousins of the bridal couple. They all wore floor length gowns of pastel colors.

Mrs. G. L. Pangburn of Lincoln, sister of the bride, was in charge of the guest book. Mrs.

Elwin Jones assisted by Mrs. Forest Hall and the Misses Dorothy Lloyd and Wilma Jones presided in the gift room. Schools Attended The bride is a gradaute of the Odell high school and taught Highland Center school near Cortland the past two years. The groom attended the State Agricultural College at Lincoln after graduating from the Wymore high school and since then has been engaged in farming. After the reception the couple left for a short wedding trip to the Ozarks.

For traveling the bride chose a suit of light blue gabardine with white accessories. Upon their return they will make their home on a farm south of Wymore. degree from the Peru State Teachers college and also attended the University of Colorado. Manettia Circle Meets With Mrs. W. Kelley Mrs. Walter Kelley was hostess to the Manettia circle Tuesday with an attendance of 1'3.

The meeting opened with readings and songs by the various members. The annual picnic will be at Chautauqua park July II). This will be the last, meeting until fall. Members are asked to bring covered dish and service. The hostess was assisted in serving by Mrs.
