Brush and of the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Fen-wick of Eureka. The bride-elect, who is a junior at University of California, telephoned the news of her engagement to her sorority sisters at Kappa Alpha Theta house last evening.

She is a sister of Gerald D. Brush, whose engagement to Nancy MUler of Pied mont was announced some time ago. The brieje wore a heart shaped locket which was the: gift of the bridegroom. Purple orchids and white bouvardia were combined in her I corsage. Edwin Schutt of Tonawanda. At seven o'clock last evening In St Paul's Episcopal church, Oakland, Miss Virginia Lawrance, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben E. Lawrance, married to Gerard Kergan Lewis.

The Rev. a. Battershili; rector of St. James Church conducted the ritual. More than 200 guests were invited to the church which was decorated in white bride gladioli.

The bride wore the traditional white satin with an insert of lace in the yoke. Her veil was worn full length and arranged at the headdress with a halo of orange blossoms. Bouvardia, gardenias and gladioli made up the bride's bou Maid of honor was Miss Maur- ine Wells, close friend of the bride. Her dress was of a pale blue taffeta and net and she wore a small matching hat and carried an arm bouquet of American Beauty roses. Best man for the bridegroom was his brother, Thomas Bernard Lewis.

The bride's father gave her in marriage. Mrs. Lawrance wore a dinner dress of soft green complemented by a fuchsia hat and corsage of white bouvardia and gardenias. Gold was worn by the mother of the bridegroom with black velvet hat and corsage of white gardenias and bouvardia. The service was followed by a re ception at the home of the bride's parents at 1809 Rosecrest Drive.

For traveling, the bride wore a green costume suit trimmed at the neck with beaver. Her accessories were in brown and she wore two white orchids. The young couple did not reveal the destination of their honeymoon, More than a hundred guests at tended the reception at the Law rence home where the couple stood before the mantelpiece decorated with large white gladioli.and white satin The wedding cake was placed In the center of the bride's table set with a handsome lace cover with bowls of gladioli and gardenias at either side.
