Henry Sargent, has had his house newly paiited. 'Myers of Ottawa flourished the brush. Miss Etta Hood, who was so severely hurt by a horse stepping on her foot six weeks ago Is unable to walk without the aid of a crutch yet Joseph Kinser Is having a neat piazza attached to his house. Baldwin, make quite a fine appearance. W. S. Ellsworth will in two days more ascertain the wealth of our town. He reports that in one part of the town the dogs are of more value than all the property.

The ppople in the district known as the Dimmick" are quite indignant at the whipping of a small boy by the teacher. W. R. Richey has put in a new steam pump to raise water from the river to supply his tile works. He has a yard at Tonica, and expects to put tile in Richland township.
