A Murrysville man burned to death when his light truck overturned and burned on Route 22 in Monroeville. Joseph P. Egloff, 44, of 4758 Christy Road, Murrysville, was pinned in the truck when it went out of control last night, according to the coroner's office. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Another motorist, Robert D. Curtin, 44, of 217 Nassau Drive, Plum, told Monroeville police he pulled from the parking lot at Birdie's Lounge on Route 22 into the fast lane of the highway and, though he saw no approaching traffic, felt a bump and "saw a ball of flame" in his rear view mirror. Curtin told police he continued east on Route 22 a short way then returned to the parking lot of the lounge and contacted police. Police are continuing their investigation. City Ooat Captain Dies At Wheel Special TO Thi Presi RICE'S LANDING A tow-boat captain from Pittsburgh's' Beechview section suffered a fatal heart attack today while piloting the "Explorer" on the Monongahaela River here.

Crew members of the tow-boat which was pushing a barge loaded with coal noticed the craft's erratic course and found Henry Layne, 61, of 2215 Vodcli slumped on a bench near the pilot's wheel. Layne was taken from the boat at an old lock wall here and removed to Greene County Hospital where county coroner Frank Behm pinpointed heart failure as the cause of death. He was employed by the Men River Towing which is owned by the Belle Vernon-based Gutman Oil Co. Animal Import Ban Extended WASHINGTON (UPI) Interior Secretary Rogers C. B.

Morton hss signed a final order listing cheetahs, leopards, tigers, snow leopards, jaguars, ocelots, margays and tiger cats as endangered foreign wildlife. The action means it is now illegal to import the cats, their skins or other body parts, or products made from their bodies except where permits have been issued as in the case of zoos or research and educational groups. A proposal pending in Congress would permit sportsmen to bring back legally shot trophies from other countries, however. Construction contracts in the nation hit a three-month low in February, but showed an increase of 14 per cent from the year-ago month. The decline in the February value rate was attributed to the absence of any new utility starts, F.

W. Dodge Division of Mc-Graw-Hill Information Systems Co. reported. Last month's $5.6 billion in construction contracts, however, was 14 per cent ahead of the $4.93 billion reported during February 1971, the service laid. In explaining the last month results against January 's peak, George A.
