Harbors Congress Will Aid the White and Slack Elver Improvement The Sermon. Following the mass, Bishop Gallagher of Galveston, delivered the sermon and eulogy on the life of Bishop Fitzgerald. He talked for nearly an hour, and reviewed at length the life of one of the foremost men of the Catholic Church in the South. He spoke of the usefulness of Bishop Fitzgerald to the Church and to the people, of his splendid ability as a prelate and business man, and told how the Church has grown, and prospered i every ieom-munity under his management. The sermon was one of the most eloquent addresses ever heard in this city.

Absolutions. Following the sermon. Bishops Gallagher, Jansen, Meerchat, Van he Ven and Ileslin administered the absolutions to those present, and the people were excluded from the church while the clergy remained to place the body in the vault beneath the church. The body was not lowered until after the services had been completed. The body of Bishop Fitzgerald will rest under the front entrance of St, Andrew's in a lien i d.

This servico was participated in by all the assembled priests and bishops and lasted about half an hour. Then began the march from the bishop's house to the church. Fathers Ho-lan and Knright led the way followed by the choir boys, bishops, prelates, active and honorary pallbearers and representatives of the laymen. With the march to the church there began the pontifical solemn requeim mass.
