The salon, 22 to 75 feet offers patrons the opportunity to shop in complete, comfort. Lloyd Gotchy's New Shoe Salon Opens Menard's Ltd, to Bring Latest in Wearing Apparel On 17th Anniversary in That Unique in Reno business annals was the opening simultaneously of three Reno business establishments Thursday, Menard's, Lloyd Gotchy Shoes and George Benioff Furs. Lloyd Gotchy Shoes originally came to Reno 17 years ago to a location on West Second St. There the department consisted of 200 square feet. In the early 40's this firm moved to Stevens Apparel, where Gotchy shoes are still featured. In Dec. 1950, Lloyd Gotchy Shoes became part of Howay's Apparel in the Arcade building, and it is this part of the opera tion that is now located in new quarters.

The new shoe salon is 75 by 22 feet, a salon type store with copi ous display space. It will fea ture a complete line of women's shoes from teen age to highest fashions from teen age and growing girls. Also to be fea tured is a line of hosiery and ordinated handbags. Familiar employes are Mrs. Helen Thompson, handbag buyer and woman consultant; Al Leake, shoe consultant and window designer while Chuck Lind strom will remain as manager of the Stevens branch.

Mrs. Helen Gotchy will assist her husband in operation of the new store. Mr. Conklin is completely en thusiastic about his new location and hails the trustees of the Masonic Temple Association for the foresight in creating the beau tiful building in which his store is now located.

At George Benioff's will be found Mrs. Margaret Sanford, administrative assistant; Mrs. Hazel Wendt, sales consultant, Mrs. Helen Benetti, sales and styling and John Conklin, shipping and receiving. Construction was by Walker Boudwin, with the following sub contractors: Nevada Paint and Floor Service, McDonald's Magic Carpet, Alpine Glass, Electrical Products Ralph Tyler.

Outstanding could well describe the theme used in the decoration of this new store, attractively de signed in pink and purple tones. The front of this new establish ment is so designed as to give the effect of a large display window and is attractively accompanied by a large mirror effect on the side, graced by a large semi-cir cular seating arrangement. For convenience and creation of the right atmosphere, the store is di vided into three sections; display, millinery and fur salon.

The receiving and shipping department is attractively separated from the Last Frontier Official Resigns LAS VEGAS Jake Kozloff, president and general manager of Hotel Last Frontier since 1951, announced his resignation today effective immediately. He said that henceforth he will have no connection whatever with the hotel, now renamed the New Frontier. Kozioff and Murray Randolph sold their 80 per cent interest in the Last Frontier to a group of new investors, most of whom were conditionally licensed this week by the Nevada Tax Commission. Stanley Leeds of Los Angeles was announced as the new general manager of the luxury hotel, succeeding Kozloff. Rozlof said he has no plans for the immediate future but wilj retain his stock interest in the downtown Golden of which he serves also as advertising manager.

A beamed ceiling shows a V-groove effect while the lighting fixtures are all hand wrought, with brass used for hanging knobs and other accessories.

A ladies' boutique is reached through a wide entrance in the middle of the store, where a large divider separates the ladies department from the rest of the establishment. The ladies' area is decorated attractively in soft pastel tones. Completely air conditioned throughout, Menard's will feature a moderate priced line, as well as exclusive items for the discriminating buyer. The owners plan to carry a complete line of wearing apparel for ladies with accessories and a complete line of men's fur nishings. There is about 2500 square feet of floor space in the store, and familiar figures from Hatton's will be seen at Menard's.

Vin Burke, Larry Simpson and Remo Fratini will be men's sales representative while Mrs. Alta May and Mrs. Angela Desiderio are the ladies representatives Frank Menante, co-owner of the store, will act as manager as well as continue his duties as buyer and pa: owner of Hatton's, Inc. Jenni and Pitts created the and fixtures on location while Walker Boudwin Construc tion company of Reno was the general contractor for the new sore. Analyst Talks To Accountants The regular monthly luncheon meeting of the Reno membership of Nevada Certified Public Ac countants was held at the El Cortez Hotel April 26.

Guest speaker for the day was E. Thayer Bigelow, credit analyst for the First National Bank of Nevada, who spoke on the manner in which the banker evalu ates financial statements and credit information submitted the bank for credit purposes. Mr. Bigelow also stressed the need for closer association between the accountant and the banker. During the luncheon, James Murphy of Reno, received his certificate to practice as a certified public accountant in Nevada.

Part of the Unusual treatment of decorating Same Firm Name Causes Mixup LAS VEGAS. A momentary mixup in names was settled yesterday after it was learned a large law suit filed in federal court against the Foley Brothers, was not against the well known local law firm, but a New York engineering company of the same name. The case came into federal court here from the White Pine county district court after it was found the defendant firm is a New York organization. Plaintiff in the action Is Mrs. Helen who asks for the death of her husband.
