KUEHN HAD been acting strangely ever since his wife's death in a 1955 auto accident, relatives said.

"Some new Information" on the slaying was gathered in later interrogation, Buecher said, but he declined to dis close its nature. Another policeman attested to apparent mental strain on Kuehn's part which made it difficult to de termine if the young father was telling the truth. Police said Kuehn, armed with a foreign auto matic, told his children to wait outside, then strode through the reception room and into the office. Stoplestad was dead on arrival at a hospital. Authorities said they would file first degree murder charges. Kermit Keeshan, 17, was listed in satisfactory condition at Methodist Hospital in Oma ha after he shot himself in the head. Diane Zaruba, 17, a popular girl active in 4-H work before she entered high school, and Jerry Sherwood, 18, a schol arship winner due to graduate this month, were the victims. SHERWOOD had been go ing with Diane about two years, the county attorney's office said, and Keeshan had started dating her only re cently. They blamed the slay ing on a fight over the girl.

Keeshan, the son of former Mayor William Keeshan, went to the home of Mrs. Laura Kills Teen Boy, Then ALBION, Neb.
