It is always a cheering sight to see these colorful, appealing, gay, warm weather styles show up when we are all bundled up in winter apparel. Whether you can take off for a 1 resort spot right now does not diminish the value of these clothes. Many women buy from resort collections for their summer wardrobes.

Today we take a look at what is new in these fashions. Little girls can be miniature best dressers, for the collections of resort styles include exciting designs. Many the dresses are sleeveless, to be teamed with pique or linen coats. In the Helen Lee resort line-up will be found such items as dress up styles of washable silk shantung, "rain or shine" coats in printed chintz, bright tweed pants and overblouses that have matching pleated skirts for a three-part outfit. A number of dresses are what Helen "grandmother gift dresses," because they are high style (also a bit more high priced) and therefore appealing to a doting grandma.

For adults, colors in resort clothes are especially eyecatching. There are yellows and from lemon to lime, Esteems desert pink, turquoise, sea blue and white of course. Combinations of colors that are put together give added zest to many outfits. A color worth remember. ing capucine, a French word for nasturtium.

Stunning beachwear will make its appearance at resorts, with the dominate news found in fabrics that are amazingly lightweight. A recent addition to stretch synthetics is a spandex fiber that produces featherweight materials with tremendous figure control.

This new synthetic makes It possible to wear what might be called "little nothing" swimwear, because it is so lightweight. Beach ensembles have coordinated jackets, coats, or skirts. More jackets are In longer lengths, and the beach coat down to the knees makes a bid for popularity. Matching skirts to go with swim suits are either in wrap-around styling, or have elasticized waist bands so they are easy to get into and out of. Newsworthy at resorts this year are the many mohair knitted jackets designed to go with dresses of linen or silk.

The mohair jacket may be matched exactly, or contrasted with the dress.
