The temperance revival which continued two weeks at Xenia under the direction of Buck Stanley and Joe Critchfield, closed Wednesday. Mr. Stanley states that, the revival has been, a highly successful one, closing with the signatures of more than five hundred persons who declared for temperance and right. At the last meeting a branch of the Temperance Gospel Union was organized, and the good people of Xenia expect to carry on the work from the point whfre their leaders left it.

Messrs. Stanley and Critchfield' expect, to open the campaign against King Alcohol at JonesbOro next week. The funeral of tha late Mrs. Robert Burket will be held at the residence, in the East End this morning at 0 o'clock. Snort ceremonies will be conducted over the remains by the Star and Daughters of Rebeckah, of which lodges the deceased was a member.

The remains will then be taken to Blue Ball church in Washington township where the funeral services will be held. Interment will be made in the Miller cemetery about a mile from the church. By some unfortunate misunderstanding the time of the funeral was announced in yesterday's Journal as yesterday a. m. Secretary Johnson, of the State Board of Charities, reports that there are 188 adult epileptics, aad several hundred feeble-minded persons in th'e county poor farms of the state.

In addition to these are 431 insane in the county asylums, of which number he thinks not more than three hundred should be sent to the insane asylums, the others being harmless and incure- able, and being capable of useful labor on the poor farms. Mr. Johnson that with the Evansville and Richmond hospitals, with the capacity of 900 patients, soon to be opened, the State has made ample provision. There is mush cause for gratification in this showing. For many years Indiana waeds relict in caring for the unfortlinate who were thrown into the county poor farms, where, too often, they were treated, or neglected, in a most shameful manner.

His wife died, and he married children by both marriages. At hia death a dispute arose as to who was entitled to the money.
