Alfred L. Thallman of 402 Sotier Wood River, became the bride of Cecil R. Steele, son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer L.

Steele, 109 East Date Hartford. The Rev. Carl D. Mitchell officiated, using the double ring ceremony, and the bride WAS given in marriage by her father. Mrs.

Harry Hanson, organist, played a musical prelude ineluding "Oh Promise Me." "Ich Liebe Dich." "Oh Perfect Love," and "I Love You TruJy." Mrs. Hanson played the wedding marches and accompanied Ed Scarborough who sang "Because" and "Always." Miss Sandra Jane Thallman, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, Mrs. Gene Haist, bridesmaid, and Miss Nancy Jean Steele, sister of the bridegroom, junior bridesmaid. Miss Lela Ann Steele, youngest sis1er of the bridegroom. was flower girl, and Tommy Smith, son of Mr.

Mrs. Vernon T. Smith of Hartford, was ringbearer. Bob Steele attended his brother as best man and Gene Haist served as groomsman. Dwight Bazzell and Donald Reid were ushers.

Miss Thallman appeared in a waltz length gown of lace and tulle over taffeta. The tight fitting bodice was covered by a short sleeved lace jacket, and she wore long lace gloves. The bouffant taffeta skirt is worn beneath a tulle skirt trimmed with inserts of lace, and the top skirt was of tulle, A tiara of seed pearls and rhinestones held her shoulder length veil and she carried a white Bible topped by a purple orchid tied with streamers. The bride's attendants appeared in pastel colored frocks with matching tiaras and they carried colonial style bouquets of roses and carnations. The maid of honor appeared In an apple green nylon net.
