Brought back by popular demand, he will perform in the Pine Cone Lounge nightly.

For 11 years, a Marona engagement has meant standing-room only audiences every night of the week. This Bay Area entertainer, includes comedy on just about any subject imaginable. But comedy is only half of what makes the Danny Marona show pure entertainment. He was an acknowledged child prodigy and debuted as a concert pianist at the age of 7. When he was only 9 years old, he joined the San Francisco Opera Boy's Chorus, and began performing in nightclubs when he was 14.

Marona deftly intersperses his self-accompanied musical interludes throughout his show to change the tempo and delight his audiences. His musical impersonations also have the quality of a virtuoso impressionist and audiences remember his finely tuned musical talents even as they recall their seemingly endless laughter throughout his performance. Marona has seen his career ring the bells of success with amazing consistency. In addition to livening up the Pine Cone Lounge year after year, he has performed in concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, has toured with Ray Charles, made many television appearances and even hosted his own radio talk show. Marona created the stage persona of a self-depreciating, sometimes hot-tempered every day guy at war with day-to-day stupidity.

MONICA REY Bowman proves you can fool with Mother Nature Six nights a week the question most asked by the audience at the Sundowner Cabaret is, "How can that really be a man?" The question is not hard to understand when you have seen the lovely Monica Rey perform. Monica Rey, the creation of Mr. Randy Bowman, is surely one of the most stunning women around. Thus we see one facet of the continued long run of Burlesque '85 at the Sundowner Hotel-Casino in downtown Reno. Is he or isn't she? Whether he is portraying a really remarkable likeness to Marilyn Monroe, spoofing Dolly Parton, or dancing as Liza Minelli; Monica is truly an amazing illusion.
