You might think she would have grown up to be a prim librarian or an old-maid school teacher, or something. Such, gladly, wasn't the case. Candace Lee Klaasen is now Candy Moore, who plays Chris Carmichael, daughter of Lucille Bail on CBS-TV's 'The Lucy Show," Mondays at 9 p.

m. on Channels 2, 9 and 10. She's just 17 now but fear not, the way she's going, she won't be a librarian or a schoolmarm. For one thing, Candy startlingly looks and acts like a young Lucille Ball. Reason Candy consulted the market was natural.

Her dad, William Klaasen, is a stockbroker and investment manager. Candy lives with her parents in North Hollywood. Born in Maplewood, N. Aug. 26, 1947, Candy started modeling in New York when she was 5.

At 7, she was already doing television commercials. Three years and many commercials later, Ella Kazan spotted Candy and cast her as one of the children in his Broadway production of Archibald MacLeish's "J3." Ten months after her Broadway debut, Candy left the "J.B." company and went to Hollywood, where she has appeared In more than a dozen television programs. Acting for Miss Moore came as easy, well, as taking candy from a baby. Her mother was an actress and a model under her maiden name, Llla Moore. Candy got her professional last name when she and her mother were modeling together in New York.

Her favorite pastime Is horseback riding. She likes horses so much that one day she hopes to own a ranch. Only animal she owns now is a Manchester terrier named Ranger. What does she want to do other than acting? She wants to study medicine not to doctor humans, but to take care of animals. She wants to get a veterinarian's license not to practice professionally but to take personal care of all the animals on her ranch.

Whether it be fractions or fractures, Candy Moore would have her own way of tackling them. HOURS: 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. daily incl. Sat; Mon.
