Thursday, December 3, 1931, at. 10 o'clock in ttio morning. Mrs. Mergenthaler, before hoi' marriage was Miss Sarah Elizabeth Robertson, daughter Dr. and Mrs.

H. W. Robertson of Waelder. Due to the death of an aunt of the bride, the weddinr; was a vnry quiet home affair with only relatives and a few close friends present. With the artistic arrangements of chrysanthemums in the home, the setting for the wedding was quite pretty.

The bride was gowned in a new spring model green crepe with accessories in black. Her going away gown was a brown tweed ensemble. Mr. and Mrs. Mergenthaler are at homo to their friends at 1516 West Fifth avenue.

Mr. Mergenthaler is' connected with the Corsicana police department as desk sergeant and head of the identification bureau of the department. B. and P. W.

Club Benefit Forty-two And Bridge Meet The Business and Professional Women's club extend a cordfal invitation to the bridge and forty- two players of the city to attend their benefit ournament to be held Tuesday evening, Dec. 8, at the Tessie Dickeson studio on North Beaton street, beginning promptly at 7.45 o'clock. Pork Chops Victoria Escalloped Cabbage Bread Peach jam Grapefruit Salad Apple Pudding Cream Coffee Pork Chops Victoria, (Serving 8) 6 loin chops, 1 teaspoon sa.lt, 1-4 teaspoon paprika, 4 tablespoons flour, 2 cups boiled rice, 1-2 cup chopped celery, 1-4 cup chopped onions, 2 tablespoons chopped green peppers, 2 cups tomatoes; Have chops cut 2-3 inch thick.

Sprinkle with salt and paprika. Roll in flour. Pit into baking pan. Cover with rest of ingredients. Cover with lid and bake 1 1-4 hours in moderate oven.

Ke- move lid and bake 10 minutes in hot oven to brown top. Apple Pudding. .2 cups, flour, 4 teaspoons baking Dinner Parties For Visiting Irriemls of powder, 1-4 teaspoon salt, 4 tablespoons fat 2-3 cup milk. Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in fat with knife.

Mixing; with knife add milk. When soft dough forms pat it out on floured papepr until 2-3 inch thick. Place in a greased pan. Spread with apple mixture. Apple Mixture.

3 cups sliced apples, 1-2 cup water, 2-3 cup sugar, teaspoon cinnamon, 1-4 teaspoon cloves, 3 ta- biespopons butter. Mix apples and water. 1 Cover and cook 5 minutes. Add rest of ingredients. Mix well and pour over dough.

Bake 20 minutes in moderate oven. Serve warm. Use orange juice in your French dressing recipe for variety. Use 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of orange juice when the calls for 4 tablespoons of. lemon juice or vinegar.
