Dick Edgerton, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Edgerton, Saturday purchased the Cities Service station of Frederick Cullison, located at the comer of Jackson and Sycamore streets, and has assumed active management of it.

He will continue to operate it as a complete service station, selling gasoline, and oils. The station is equipped for washing, greasing, and polishing cars. The firm name will be the Edgerton Service station. Harry W. Templin, city letter carried, brought a bouquet of perfectly gorgeous gladiolas to the Register office this morning.

Mr. Templin and his father, James Templin, have one of the finest flower gardens in Iola at their home. They have planted over 4,000 gladiola bulbs this year. The Register acknowledges thanks for the flowers. Mr.

and Mrs. Lawrence Gorden had as their guests for the weekend, Mrs. Charles Edmondson and her daughters, Mrs. Ann Messiah and Mrs. Thelma Owens, Kansas City, and her son-in-law and daughter, Mr.
