Druggists, We Woodlandites hear on every hand that C. A. Hall's is the place to trade, and what everyone says must be trio. Je26tt Fact, gentlemen--C. A.

Hall will treat you square, He has been in the business A long time and knows how. je26tt Go to Groh'e for your shoes, FARM AND ORCHARD. (Winters District.) There are 12,000 scree planted in fruit trees and yines in the Winters district, and in the town 'of Winters there are six fruit packing houses, Wintors is in Yolo county. Sackett vegetable growers principally, are shipping daily melons, tomatoes, to the San Francisco market. Their stuff commands the highest It is STOWD without Irrigation, and it is recognized by the consumer as being better and sweeter than shuliar varieties grown elsewhere.

There are others engaged in this bustness about Winters, but my reason for mentioning the Sackett brothers te that they are Americans. The rafsing of the big English gooseberry in our county would be a moneymaker to anyone who would engage in it. 'The canners would take all of then remunerative prices. Thoy bear the second year. The writer RAW Your bushes loaded with fruit as big as the end of a man's thumb.

Tho man who plants a 1g orchard of the proper. varieties and introduces the fig wasp (blastophagas) among his trees will make two fortunes. In Yolo county this tree dons not need any irrigation after it has once started. It will grow all right and produce all right and has no insect past to bother ft. The red spider is troublesome on almond trees everywhere, and the introduction in our orchards in and about Woodland of the ladybug (vedallia cardinalis) will work wonders: in de- stroying this pest, but Winters digtrict grows such beautiful apricots that ye.

of ladybug abandons the common diet red spider and gives its attention to that Ane luscious fruit. However, the Winters fruit growers don't bank on almouds very extensively, although they do produce good puts in that district. Madison is over on the west side, Esparto ditto, and so is Capay, and the new irrigation ditch out of Cache creek covers those towns and their surrounding country. They, too, all of them, will soon be in the Winters district. unless they start housekeeping of their own.

They've got the eoll to do It, and the price, per acre is cheap enough to capture any eastern homesceker who crosses the Rockies CaliforniaWe can stop them in Yolo. All we've got to do is to. show them in our exhibit what we have done. There de plenty of room in Yolo for whole lat. more people.

A large part of the county out west. is as level as a barn floor, and it it is alfalfa one wants, now that the irrigation ditches are being bullt and Clear Lake is the reservolr, dairying and stock raising can be indulged In to your heart's content. The plums for our exhibit to the St. Louis world's fair contributed by the Wintera, fruit growers are as big AS 8888. They have gone to Sacramento tor processing.

It there is anything outside of Yolo county that you want, just plant It and tickle the soil with a hoe and It will yield it nato you. MAJOR BERRY. V. LEITHOLD WILL BUY IT BACK You assume no risk when you buy Chamberlain's Colle, Cholera and Diarrhoea Hemedy. J.

V. Leithold will reLund your money if you aro not satisfed after using it. It is everywhere mitted to be the most successful remedy in' use for bowel complaints and the ouly one that never fails. It 19 pleasant, sate and reliable. THE CAPAY STAGE WIll make dally trips, Sundays excepted, between Woodland and Capay on and after May 15th, arriving at Woodland at 10 a.
