Arrangements are incomplete at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Michaelene Haysler North Vernon The Rev. Michaelene Melko Haysler, 57, of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away at 11:40 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus, MICHAELENE HAYSLER Indiana.

Rev. Haysler was born and raised in the small steelmanufacturing town of Mingo Junction, Ohio. She attended St. Agnes Elementary School, then, in 1970, she graduated as Valedictorian from Steubenville Central High School in Steubenville, Ohio. In 1974, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies from Ohio Dominican College in Columbus, Ohio.

She later returned to her home church of St. Agnes in Mingo Junction to marry George C. Haysler Jr. on October 22, 1977. During the years, she held jobs as director and educator at various churches schools in Columbus, Ohio; Washington, DC; Silver Spring, Maryland; Tallmadge, Ohio; Huntington, Indiana; and Butlerville, Indiana.

She also had and raised three children. When they had grown older, she returned to work as an Associate at Wal-Mart in North Vernon, Indiana. She eventually decided to pursue a late-life career as a preaching minister. To this end, in 2007, she received her Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. In the same year, she was commissioned as a Provisional Elder in the South Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church.

During her seminary and career years, she served as pastor in a number of Indiana United Methodist churches including Butlerville, Rush Branch, Dupont, Ebenezer, and Brownstown. Ault, Garden Street, Melissa DEATHS ELSEWHERE HOUSTON Huey Long, 105, a jazz guitarist whose career included stints with musical giants Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker and as part of the famed Ink Spots vocal group, died Wednesday. Long died in a nursing home in Houston, said his daughter, Anita Long. Huey Long was first drawn to music as a teenager when a group of minstrels visited his hometown of Sealy. CAPE TOWN, South Africa South African health activist Thembi Ngubane, 24, whose radio diaries of her struggle against the AIDS virus won her audiences and admiration Rev. Haysler was a member of the Catholic Slovak Ladies Union in Cleveland, Ohio, and a member of the Brownstown, Indiana, Ministerial Association.

She enjoyed oil painting, art, playing guitar, crafts, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Andrew David Haysler, in 1993; and one brother, Stephen Melko. Survivors include her husband, Rev. George C. Haysler, one son, George Michael (Becky) Haysler of North Vernon; one daughter, Cecilia Haysler of North Vernon; two brothers, Paul (Anne) Melko of Delaware, Ohio, and Joe (Mary) Melko of Bridgeport, West Virginia; one sister, Michaela Melko of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; and one granddaughter, Breanna Haysler of North Vernon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at the Dove-Sharp Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon, Indiana, with the Reverends John L. Adams and Bessie Adams officiating. Friends may call at the Dove -Sharp Rudicel Funeral Home on Monday, June 15, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Huntington, Indiana. Milton F. Hull Columbus Milton F. Hull, 85, of Columbus, died Friday, June 12, 2009, at 10:35 p.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mr.

Hull retired in 1967 from the U.S. Air Force as a Chief Master Ser- MILTON HULL geant. He MILTON HULL had served during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Following retirement from the Air Force he worked at the Post Office in Columbus. Mr.

Hull was a member of Columbus American Legion Post and enjoyed NASCAR racing and auto mechanics. He was raised in Ripley County, Ind. and had lived in Bartholomew County K. Baldwin, South Gladstone Avenue, Timothy R. Billingsley, Grand Avenue, Eboni S.

Allied Collection Service vs. Christina M. Dulong, Elizabethtown, Joseph and Katrina English, Rosewood around the world, died Tuesday. Ngubane, who was from the Cape Town suburb of Khayelitsha, one of the areas worst affected by the dual AIDS-TB epidemic, died of tuberculosis. Joe Richman, who produced the diaries and became her friend, said Ngubane had drug-resistant TB that was diagnosed too late to save her.

Mr. Hull was preceded in death by his parents; a twin sister, Mildred Hull; a son-inlaw, Jack L. Cox; and a grandson, Ricky Hull. Linda Ann Long N. Drummond Drive Linda Ann Long, 66, of N.

Mitchell retired from Cummins Engine Company in 2003, where he had served for 30 years.
