Mr. and Mrs. Burden Gilley Mr. Gilley retired from Golden Castings and Mrs. Gilley from Southside Elementary School cafeteria.

The couple have three children, Greg, Mitchell and Pam Gilley, all of Columbus. They also have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Joseph and Mary Bott Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bott in 1968 Joseph and Mary Bott of North Vernon are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today.

Mr. Bott and, the former Mary Johnson were married July 20, 1968, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon by the Rev. Richard Lyons. Mr.

and Mrs. Joseph Bott Mr. Bott retired in 1996 after working 31 years. at Cummins Inc. Mrs.

Bott works as a secretary at St. Mary's School in North Vernon. The couple have two daughters, Kathy Cool of Carmel and Diane Bower of North Vernon. They also have two grandsons and two stepgrandchildren. Douglas and Teresa Essex Douglas A.

and Teresa G. Essex of Hope celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary Tuesday. Mr. Essex and the former Teresa Moore were married July 15, 1978, at Newbern United Methodist Church by V.L. Capehart.

Mr. Essex is employed by Allison Transmission. Mrs. Essex works at Hope Intermediate School. The couple have five children, Bryce Essex of Alaska and Rachel, Benjamin, Thomas and Tamara Essex, all at home.

They also have two Olan Mills grandchildren. She is a 2005 graduate of Long Beach State University and is working toward a master's degree in marriage and family therapy at Cal State University Fullerton. Mr. Hoffman is the son of Diane and Harold Hoffman Sr. of El Sobrante, Calif. He is a graduate of Long Beach State University, with a master's degree in fine arts, and is employed as a stevedore Ports America at the Long Beach and as a lecturer of English at Beach State.

The wedding will be 4 at Waverly Chapel in Ana, Calif. Bringle -Posey Bringle -Posey Allie Bringle of Indianapolis and Eric Posey of Greenwood announce their engagement. Ms. Bringle is the daughter of Doug and Sharon Bringle of Beech Drive and Julie and Bruce Trotter of Riverside Drive. She is a 2004 graduate of Columbus East High School and a 2007 graduate of Indiana University, with degrees in political science, religious studies and journalism.

She is employed in corporate communications at Cummins Inc. Mr. Posey is the son of David and Kimalee Posey of Trafalgar. He is a 2002 graduate of Indian Creek High School and is employed as a plumber and pipefitter with Greiner Brothers in Indianapolis. The wedding will be at 5:30 p.m.
