The student body feels it has made a good choice for representalives of Jefferson Township high school. They have been chosen in the following way. First by election of the "Mostest" of our school.

The titles and representatives are: Most intellectual, Mary Hilligoss, most popular, Conita Smith, best dressed, Jerry Huff, most likely to succeed, Jerry Hawkins, best personality, Judy Griffith, most dependable, Kay McFarland, most talkative, Bonnie Foutch, (Jr.) Second, we elected five candidates for homecoming queen and her, court. The five girls are: Conita Smith, Virginia Newcom, Judy Griffith, Carol Wood, Bonnie Foutch, Of these Virginia Newcom was elected queen. She was crowned by Jerry Huff, last year's homecoming queen, The remaining four were her court. Last but not least, by way of a Bett6 Crocker Homemaking test our high school homemaker winner was Jerry Huff. She was awarded a heart shaped pin with a fireplace on it.

All of these ways of choosing our best chool representatives, which we feel has been successfully completed. The freshmen class has ordered its, class sweaters. They are red with white letters outlined in black. Our most. recent PTO meeting was conducted January 19, at Goldsmith school.

Projects discussed were: buying 10 banquet tables, a used piano for the high school music department and seesaws for Goldsmith school. Also, it has been the custom in the past for Jefferson township to hold a spring carnival as a means of, raising money. A vote by ballot was taken but the ballots have not been counted. No, you're not nosey just You believe that most of your public servants are honest that your police and courts are free from corruption. that the aren't plotting to steal the city hall.

And then you try to picture your town without a newspaper! Nonsense! That was long ago. It's different 'now. This is the electronic age, What with split atoms, split stocks and split second jet-way-of-living we now have all sorts checker -uppers on our civic goings-on. But have we? Let's take inventory.
