Lieutenant Harless received his B.A. and MA. degrees from the University of Florida at Gainesville, jand did graduate work at Harvard University, Cambridge, and Columbia University, New York City. He was a member of Sigma Epsilon social fraternity, and was also affiliated with Kappa Phi Kappa, Kappa Delta Pi, and Phi Kappa Phi scholastic fraternities. Prior to his induction" in the Army, Lieutenant Harless was an instructor in psychology at the University of Florida.
