The call-down is entirely justified, for the (Purity is one of the well established industrial concerns of Iola. manufacturing from 7,000 to 10.000 pounds of butter a week in addition to its other business.

W. H. McClure, who has hot been in her usual health for several weeks, was to the hospital at Chanute yesterday for surgical treatment. It was found that a major operation would be necessary In order to afford relief and this was performed at nine this morning and by a report received this afternoon promised to be entirely successful. McClure is SI years of age and on account of her weakened condition It was found necessary to use only a local anaesthetic. Notwithstanding this, she passed through the ordeal with remarkable fortitude and the operating surgeons feel very confident that she will soon be restored to her former health. Her daughters. Ralstbn, the local Santa Fe agent, and his assistant, Joe Littrell, were among the foremost of those who used their influence iu an important way to secure the promise of the train. If any apology is needed for thi3 omission it must be found in the fact that the good offices of Mr.
