Dearest Mother of Karen (Brian) Kilo Beckmann, Charles J. (Linda) Kilo of Naples FL, Kathy Kilo Peterson, Robert (Kathy) Kilo. Known as Grammie June to her adoring grandchildren, Caroline Kilo, Nicholas Kilo, Lucy Peterson, Phil (Cat) Beckmann, Julianna Kilo and Grant Kilo. Sister to Gloria (Ed) Miller and the late Richard (Martha) Grebe. June was married for 55 years to Charles Kilo.

Friend to so very many including her tennis pals "The Golden Questers, Alpha Xi Deltas, Tai Chi, church friends at Prince of Peace UCC and her very special neighbors; the Gage family, the West family, Kathy Mitch Moran and especially Jane Matt Thomas. June was the daughter of the late August and Esther Grebe. June was one of only nine women to graduate from Washington University School of Business in 1954. After working at Monsanto, she gave up her career to raise her four children. An active tennis player for decades, she earned several Silver Medals in the Senior Olympics.

June was an avid bird watcher, and often called in a neighborhood Barred Owl to her back yard. She loved to write poetry and was able to quickly compose a special verse for any occasion. She also loved to cook and would often deliver a meal to brighten someone's day. She was a true giver, the kindest of the kind, and always wore a warm smile. She is survived by her two daughters, Terri Wiseman and Melinda Garlick and their children Benjamin, Melissa, Rebecca and Eric; Patrick and Thomas; great-grandmother of Austin, Taylor, Sophia, Mason, Devin and Alexandria and sisters Rose and Helen. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Francis LaMont and mother and father Hermine and William Popovitch. Ray had an enthusiastic life and was blessed with a zeal for learning and discovery. He was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, was committed to his faith and led a Christ-like life of love and generosity.

He spent more than 40 years as an engineering professor at Washington University. During his career, he authored several textbooks and contributed to esteemed projects including the first manned U.S. space flight. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Meyer Kline and his parents, Milton Perry Kline and Marie Jaeger Kline. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Black Kline; four children, David (Roxanne) Kline, Kathy (David) Gramlich, Sue (David) Barry, and John (Carmen) Kline; 10 grand children; and seven great grandchildren.

He served proudly in World War II (Philippines and Japan) after which he attended Idaho State University and later received his degrees and PhD in Speech Pathology from the University of Wisconsin. Frank was known for his witty humor, which has thankfully been inherited by his children and grandchildren. He lived life with purpose and dignity, centered around family and as an important contributor to his profession. Frank's career was centered on helping children with communicative handicaps as CEO and President of the Institute of Logopedics (now Heartspring) in Wichita, KS (from 1976 until his retirement in 1991), and Director of Clinics at Central Institute for the Deaf, Washington University in St. Louis, MO (1950-1976).

He was noted in his profession for the Syndrome, President of the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), President of the ASHFounda- tion, and board member of the National Easter Seal Society. He was named the 1991 Executive of the Year by the National Association of Private Schools for Exceptional Children. The Frank R. Kleffner Lifetime Clinical Career Award has been presented annually by ASHF since 1986. Karen retired from Baylor University after 22 years of service while simultaneously acquiring her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, Summa Cum Laude. Upon retirement, she moved to Powell, OH. Karen had a bright and inquisitive mind, and enjoyed reading, traveling, meditation, yoga, and nature walks. A gifted artist, she was actively involved in watercolor painting, taking various classes, and painting with a group of watercolor artists. Karen was also a very compassionate and caring friend, wife, mother, and doting grandmother who cherished time with family and friends.

Karen is survived by her spouse, Gary L. Marilyn was born on June 20, 1931, the second of five children of Irvin and Florence Telligman, in the farming community of Freelandville, IN. She was educated at the Freelandville School and confirmed at Bethel Evangelical and Reformed Church, where she formed lifelong friendships. In 1950 Marilyn moved to St. Louis to train as a nurse at the Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her cap and pin in 1952. At a Valentine Day's Dance for Deaconess Nursing students and Eden Seminary students, Marilyn met the love of her life, Ernest "Pete" Luehrman of Lexington, MO.

Following Pete's ordination as a UCC minister, they married in 1953, casting their lots together for the next 60 years. They moved to Spanish Lake, MO where Pete served as founding pastor of Peace United Church of Christ and Marilyn as his tireless partner in building the church and community. When Pete became Chaplain at Deaconess Hospital in 1959 Marilyn added her efforts to his, always a presence in his ministry. Marilyn's career as a mother began in 1955 when the first of her four children was born and it never ceased. While nurturing her children, Marilyn rejoined the nursing profession part-time as a pediatric RN at Shriner's and Children's Hospitals in St.

Louis, as well as the Rankin-Jordan Home for Convalescent Crippled Children in Ladue and the undergraduate health clinic at Washington University. Following her retirement from nursing she spent many happy hours with her children and grandchildren and loved to travel, especially to Germany, where she had the thrill of locating and befriending distant relatives. Pre-deceased by her beloved Pete, Marilyn is survived by three siblings, Terry, Sandra, and Bill; by four children, Lisa (Lee Portnoff) and Nancy (David Sauerhoff) of St. Louis, Julia of Denver and Timothy (Ann Velie) of Boston; five grandchildren, Kate, Peter, Sarah, Henry, and Jack; and one great grandson, Coulter. Services will be private.

Beloved son of Harry and Eva Ponfil (deceased), born January 16, 1935, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Ted had a passion for life and found profound pleasure in surrounding himself with family and close friends. He was an avid fisherman who relished fishing at his farm and the boundary waters, as well as a dog- lover, especially German Shepherd dogs.

In addition, he was a zealous attorney who enjoyed a tremendous reputation with judges, clients, and his peers. He was most proud of winning his first case as a new lawyer in the JAG a feat that had never been accomplished in the army. He was also passionate about reading and a student of history. He also believed in giving back to society, and did so through shaping young minds as a teacher at Maryville College and his alma mater, Washington University School of Law. Theodore is survived by his loving wife, Rena; his children, Jason (Mariellen), Jeffrey, Lisa (Tim) and Harry.

In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Rachel and Adam McAlister, his beautiful sister, Shirley Weiss, his brother Ralph and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. She worked for Special School District in St. Louis until her retirement. Melissa was an incredibly gifted seamstress and artist.

She was always generous with her time and talents and would go out of her way to help friend and stranger alike. She was an active member of the St. Louis Quilt Guild as well as with PEO, a philanthropic organization. She enjoyed camping, canoeing, and traveling the world with her beloved husband, Robert. She took up tap dancing upon her retirement.

Her greatest joy, however, was being the most adored "Lovey" to her numerous grandchildren. Her kindness, gentle spirit, sense of humor, yearly Christmas ornaments and famous "Mullgardt Cookies" will truly be missed. Mrs. Mullgardt is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert Mullgardt; 2 sons: Christian Mullgardt and wife, Julia Farrell; Davidson Mullgardt and wife, Meaghan; 2 daughters: Amanda (Meg) Kaupp and husband, Boris; Anna Lay; as well as 9 grandchildren: Kelsey, Emma, Riley, Grace, William, Kai, Eleanor, Stanley, and Oliver. She is also survived by her sister, Gail Beil and brother, Brownlow Kimes.

She is survived by Jack and their three boys: John (Karen), Jeff (Patty), and Mark, and her grandchildren Emily, Melissa Andrew Larson), Tim, Allison and Charles Reed, all of St. Louis. JoAnne was the daughter of the late Josephine Kaye and George Earl Dille, and dear sister of Earl Kaye (Martha) Dille and the late Laura Louise (late August) Elbring; beloved aunt of William (Judy) Elbring, Jeanie (Fred) Gale, Tom (Brenda) Dille and Jim (Laura) Dille; and beloved great- aunt of many. Born in Chillicothe, Missouri, JoAnne graduated from University City High School, and received a degree in Education from Washington University in St. Louis, where she became a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

She taught briefly in University City schools. After marrying Jack she pursued many interests beyond raising her three boys. She was active in her church, including teaching Sunday school, and was a dedicated member of Bible Study Fellowship. She enjoyed bridge, tennis, and traveling with Jack and their many lifelong friends and will always be remembered as a gracious, kind, generous and caring friend of many. Beloved wife of seventy years to the late George A. Schulte; cherished daughter of the late Lawrence and Frances Mitchell; devoted mother of Louis (Sharon) Schulte, Thomas (Linda) Schulte, and the late James Schulte; loving grandmother of ten; treasured great-grandmother of seven. Helen was also preceded in death by her siblings, Rose Frederick, Lawrence Mitchell, James Mitchell, and Frank Mitchell. Helen was a "Rosie the Riveter" who manufactured torpedoes during World War II. She also worked as a telephone operator for the St.

Louis Globe Democrat for nearly twenty years. Helen loved to crochet, read, and travel with her husband. She most of all loved her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Mount Carmel Senior Living and Heartland Hospice Care.

Services: The family is being served by the Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, MO. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 am at Mount Carmel Senior Living. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 from 10:00 am at Mount Carmel Senior Living. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
