Hargis was a US Army veteran, retired as a foreman from Consolidated Aluminum, and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. John and his wife Marian were happily married for 52 years, and enjoyed ballroom dancing almost every weekend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances W. (Barton) and Thomas J. Hargis; his brothers Walter and Robert Hargis, and 5 sisters, Esther Diamond, Margaret Hargis, Virginia Hargis, Mary Rose Stahl, and Vera Martinez.

He is survived by his wife Marian, nee Lubbers; his children, Keith Hargis (residing in Seattle with his wife Lidia) and Kent Hargis (residing in NYC); and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Daniel was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. Daniel joins his brother Sammy in heaven, and leaves behind his devoted father Samuel "Doug" Hazer (Jessica Hazer), his devoted mother Suzanne Duff Chambless (Steve Chambless), his Mini-me son Elijah Samuel Hazer and Elijah's amazing mother Angela Sabatino.

Daniel's loving brothers Michael Hazer and Nick Smith and adoring sisters Tina Harrell (Damon Harrell) and Taylor Chambless will miss Daniel tremendously. Jay Little, Jacob Duff, and Bob Pauli III, were also brothers as far as Daniel was concerned and Daniel will forever be in their heart. On Daniel's last day, he chose the location for his wedding to his soulmate Jeannie South, who brought Light into his life. Daniel had an enormous extended family including the family of the Duff's, Antalick's, Barratt's, Pauli's, and Sabatino's, all of which played such an important role in his life in various ways. Daniel's doting grandfather, Andy Duff, gave his heartfelt eulogy and Daniel's Uncle RonDog Duff played an emotional tribute to Daniel's life on a Native American flute.

Daniel's energy and spirit filled the room at his memorial service on November 5, 2015 at Kutis Funeral Home, and his countless aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones were comforted by each other and by the peace in knowing he is with his Lord and Savior. 94, Kokomo, IN, formerly of Florissant, Oct. 31, 2015. "Mickey" 56, of St. Louis, Missouri, died November 5, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael E. Harrison, and is survived by his mother, Barbara G. Harrison of Brunswick, GA; his brothers Greg (Amy) Harrison of Tampa, FL, Brian (Ellen) of New York, NY, Grant, of Sonora, CA, and his sister Fran (Jim) Stephens of Richmond Hill, GA, a niece and five nephews.

He was a 1977 graduate of Brunswick High School and attended the Atlanta Art Institute. He was a gifted photographer who enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. are appreciated. KUTIS CITY Service. age 74, Tulsa, OK, formerly of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born November 24, 1940, in Richmond, Indiana, to Edward Henry Harris Jr. and Evelyn Jane Semler Harris, Ed lived most of his life in Richmond.

He was a 1959 graduate of Richmond High School and a 1964 graduate of Butler University. Ed completed additional graduate studies at Miami University in Ohio. He was president of Harris Harper Counsel, an investment advisor, former editor and publisher of the Palladium-Item from 1969-1976, and former news reporter of the Palladium-Item from 1964-1969. Ed was a life-long learner, interested in people, places, and things. He traveled the world with friends and family.

He loved playing and watching golf until his eyesight diminished due to Retinitis Pigmentosa. Using some of the latest technology, he continued working until his recent illness even though 'completely dark', as he would say, from total blindness. He greatly enjoyed listening to C-SPAN Booknotes every weekend. He could converse on almost any topic at length and pepper his listener with questions. His humor, wise counsel, and absolute confidence in God will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Susan DeAnn (Woodard) Harris, to whom he was married on May 12, 1990; children, Lacee Eowyn (Paul) Marino of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Daniel Joseph (Elizabeth) Burke of St. Louis, Missouri, Jonathan David Burke of St. Louis, Missouri, and Judson Taylor Burke of Arizona; seven grandchildren, Norah Elise Burke, Emmett Charles Burke, Samuel Edward Burke, Nicholas David Burke, Nolan Benjamin Marino, Leah Rose Marino, and Carson Daniel Marino; sister, Becky Harper of Richmond, Indiana; brother, Mark Withrow (Judy) Harris of Richmond, Indiana; niece, Jennifer (Paul) Bonewitz of Roanoke, Indiana; nephews, Chris (Stephanie) Harper of Rochester, Minnesota, Corey (Mary Beth) Harper of Fishers, Indiana, Kevin (Julia) Harris of Jupiter, Florida, and Chad (Krista) Harris of Richmond, Indiana; seven grandnieces; seven grandnephews; six cousins; and many friends.
