9 (UP Two new auto paints which eliminate the need for waxing or polishing for at least 18 months under normal conditions were announced today by the duPont Co. The new finishes, trade-marked Ludte and Dulux 100, are being used to a limited extent on several brands of 1956 autos after two years of tests. Retain Luster The company said the exposure tests under Florida conditions as well as road tests throughout the country showed the new paints retain their luster three times longer than conventional finishes. The company said 'both new paints hold the color and gloss so 'well that waxing will be abolished for most car owners once the paints are In general use.
