I p. m. Music of the Riots Cut Off To Europe TV LONDON-Television viewers in Europe were denied "live" pictures of the Chicago demonstrations possibly on orders of the Pentagon. The transatlantic space satellite was due to beam live television direct from Chicago up until 1:30 a. m.

yesterday. But American officials informed the European TV networks that the satellite was required for "military purposes." British viewers saw only film of the events in Chicago which had been recorded earlier in the evening. Eurovision officials believe the real reason for switching off the satellite was to deny viewers outside America the pictures of the bloodshed on the Chicago streets.
