Each was awarded a bronze medal, while two of them, Robert A. Parenti, 24, of 1020 Vermont Castle Shannon, and H. Dean Stuyvesant Jr. of 14 Ohl Greenville, Mercer County, received $750.

State Police said Mr. Tile was killed instantly when his car was struck head-on by another auto being driven by Doyle Craft, 17, of RD 3, Punxsutawney, on Route 310, about five miles north of Punxsutawney.

Officers said Mr. Eichler was killed early yesterday when he was struck by a car on Route 666, two miles west of Kellettville, Forest County. Police said Mr. Eichler was standing between two parked cars when an auto being driven by Raymond B. Consla of Meadville ran off the road and struck the vehicles, pinning him.

Mr. Lane was pronounced dead on arrival at Providence Hospital, Beaver Falls, early yesterday after the car in which he was riding slammed into a parked trailer truck on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Big Beaver Borough, Beaver County. Police said young DeSantis was struck by a car as he was riding his bicycle on New Castle Rd. in Farrell. He died moments after being admitted to Farrell General Hospital yesterday.
