9 I or no I Obituaries Wm. Metcalf Dies, Retired Steel Official Industrialist Dies at 86 In Sewickley Other obituaries, preceding 1 page. The Pittsburgh Press, Anne Metcalf, and Mrs. Christine McMaster; a brother, Orlando P. Metcalf of Cazenuvia, N.

three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Private funeral services will be tomorrow afternoon at Mr. Metcalf's home. Burial will be in Homewood Cemetery. The family has requested that William Metcalt a retired steel executive who was prominent in the growth of the industry in Pittsburgh, died tohis Sewickley home.

He was 86. Mr. Metcalt was a former president of the Braeburn Steel founder of the Wycoff Steel and a past president of the Lava cible Co. also was one of the orig. inal partners in the old FrankKneeland Machine now part of United Engineering Foundry Co.

A native of Pittsburgh, Mr. Metcalf was a graduate of Shattuck School, and Cornell University Law School. He was a practicing attorney in Pittsburgh for many years until the death of his father, whom he succeeded as president of the Braeburn firm. The elder Melcalf had founded the steel company. Following overseas service as an Army officer during World Mr.

Metcalf helped organize the Wyckoff and was a director of the company at the time of his death. He was active in the reorganization of the Lava Crucible Co. during the 1920s. A member of the Duquesne Club, Mr. Metcalf was a past trustee of Carnegie Institute and Cornell University.

He was a life member of the Congressional Country Club in Washington. Mr. Metcalf lived at 642 Grove St. Surviving are, his widow, Faith White Metcalf; a son, William Metcalf III; three daughters, Mrs. Helen McKinney, flowers be omitted.

William T. McCullough Jr. William T. McCullough 55, secretary treasurer of the W. T.

McCullough Electric died last night in Mercy Hospital. A native Pittsburgher, he attended Shady Side and Mercersburg Academies. He lived in the Carlton House. He was a member of the Mr. McCullough Shadyside Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh Athletic Longue Vue Country Club, Fellowship Lodge 679 Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Pittsburgh, Syria Temple, Rotary Club, and the Credit Assn.

of Western Pennsylvania. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles A. McFeely a son, W. T.

McCullough III; a sister, Mrs. H. Mason Reed; brother, C. Hax McCullough, and five grandchildren. Friends are being received at H.

Samson's, 537 Neville St, where services will be Monday at 10:30 Burial will be private. The family requests that instead of flowers, contributions be sent to the Cancer Fund. Mrs. Emma 72, of Mrs. Emma Peterson Peterson, Cereal Heights, Irwin, a retired employe of Westinghouse Airbrake, died yesterday, at Westmoreland in Greensburg.

Retiring seven years ago, Mrs. Peterson had been with the firm for 34 years. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Irwin. She is survived by two sons, Gilbert and Clarence Peterson; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Bergman and Mrs.

Ethel Bar ton; a brother, Charles; 17 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Friends are being received at the Rodgers Funeral Home, 310 Third Irwin, where services will be Sunday at 2 p. m. Burial will be in Irwin Union Cemetery. Mary A.

Standish Mary A Anderson Standish, niece of the late Ethelbert Nevin, Pittsburgh composer, died today at her home, 315 Meadow Lane, Edgeworth. She was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Elizabeth Nevin Standish, and was graduate of the National Cathedral School, Washington. Surviving are two brothers. Thomas A.
