Lawton Chiles yesterday ordered 50 more law enforcement officers to patrol against street criminals on the Miami area's expressways, highways and neighborhood byways. Twenty extra Florida Highway Patrol troopers, 10 Highway Patrol motorcycle officers and 20 agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement were immediately assigned to strengthen a task force on street crime.

Chiles did not specifically mention Wednesday's stalking and slaying of German tourist Uwe-Wilhelm Rake-brand as he and his pregnant wife drove a rental vehicle on the Dolphin Expressway. But the crime which generated a new, unwelcome wave of where she had served as a cheerleader. Miss Paul was a communicant of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Tuckerton. Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Callista and Gregory Yacullo, with whom she lived; her father and stepmother, Norman R. and Etta Paul, Hainesport Township; a brother, Robert Paul, Little Egg Harbor Township; two stepbrothers, Gregory and Scott Yacullo, Toms River; one stepsister, Samantha Caruso, Englishtown; her paternal grandparents, Norman E. and Janet Paul, Mt. Laurel Township; and maternal grandparents Joseph and Eileen Oates, Carolina Beach, North Carolina. The Maxwell Funeral Home, Little Egg Harbor Township, is in charge of arrangements.

ELEANOR MAYER STEMPLINGER, 67, of TOMS RIVER, died Saturday at home. She was a homemaker. She was a life member of the Golden Heart Chapter of Deborah Hospital. Mrs. Stemplinger was a communicant of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Harrison, and the church's Vincentian's Society and Rosary Society.

Mrs. Stemplinger was born in Newark and was a lifelong resident of Harrison, spending summers in West Belmar section of Wall Township. She moved recently to Toms River. Surviving are her husband, Robert a son Robert Harrison; and daughter, Joan Ellen Gassert, Wall Township. Mulligan Funeral Home, Harrison, is in charge of FREDERICK C.

RIMMELE, 78, of MANASQUAN, died yesterday at the Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was an executive vice president of Benedict-Miller steel service center, Lyndhurst Township, retiring after 45 years. He then continued to serve as vice chairman of the board of directors and as a consultant 8' the firm. He was also president of Orient-Way Corp. of Lyndhurst.

He was a graduate of St. Benedict's Preparatory School, Newark, and received a bachelor's degree in business and finance from New York University, New York. He was an instructor with the U.S. Power Squadron and was a communicant of St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, Manasquan.

Mr. Rimmele was born in Newark and lived in the Upper Montclair section of Montclair for 20 years before moving to Manasquan 17 years ago. His first wife, Rosemary G. Smith Rimmele, died in 1975. Surviving are his wife, Jean McCauslin; a son, Frederick C.

Clifton; a daughter, Rosemary Snow, Leavenworth, Kansas; ihree stepsons, Patrick McCauslin, Jackson Township, John McCauslin, Long Branch, and Mark McCauslin, Hoboken; a stepdaughter, Janet Stop-iello, Brick Township; and 12 grandchildren. Valerio, both Plymouth Township, his stepfather, Howard Bennett, and his mother, Charlotte E. Bennett, both Howell Township; three stepbrothers, Howard D. Bennett III, Westbrook, David A.

Bennett, Fort Eustis, and Harold Swift, Hampen, two stepsisters, Beda A. Bennett, Howell Township, and Lisa M. Valerio, Plymouth Township, his paternal grandmother, Nata-line Valerio, Bridgeport, his maternal grandmother, Beda Lange-vin, Charlemont, and his maternal stepgrandmother, Dorothy Carroll, Plymouth Township, Pa. YANNONE, 71, of NEPTUNE, died Saturday at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York. He was a desip draftsman for Fort Monmouth for 30 years, retiring 10 years ago. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Yannone was a member of the Shore Umpire Association and the New Jersey Table Tennis Association.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Asbury Park. Mr. Yannone was born in the Bronx and lived there until moving to Neptune 44 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Faye five sons, Gary Ronald and Darryl all of Neptune, Brian Toms River, and Vincent Elizabeth; a sister, Minnie DeLuca, Stamford, and five grandchildren.

Her first husband, Charles Bono, died in 1978, and her second husband, Fred White, died in 1987. Surviving are a son, Charles M. Bono, Middlesex; a daughter, Michele Alcamo, Ro-selle; a stepson, Thomas White, Red Bank; and five grandchildren.
