HELEN COHEN RICH, 66, of LAKEWOOD, died yesterday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Mrs. Rich was an office manager and bookkeeper for several industrial manufacturers in the North Jersey area before retiring four years ago. She was a member of the Community Synogugue Hebrew Free School, Paterson, and was a membr of the Lakewood Chapter of the Deborah Hospital, Browns Mills, Pemberton Township. Born in Paterson, she lived there for 50 years, Clifton for 13 years and moved to Lakewood three years ago.

Surviving her husband, Joseph; three daughters, Janet Herman, Par-sippany-Troy Hills Township; Linda Koretz, Holliston, and Debbie Grossman, Montville; two sisters, Ella Dorbian, Glen Rock, and Freida Cohen, Hackensack; a brother, Nathan Cohen, Lake Worth, and six grandchildren. Louis Suburban Chapels Fair Lawn, is in charge of arrangements. EMMA E. ROGERS, 87, of LAVALLETTE, died Sunday at the Community Medical Center, Toms River. She was a licensed practical nurse at Glen Manor Sanitarium, Park Ridge, for 20 years retiring in 1952.

She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Temple Chapter, West-wood, a Deborah Hospital volunteer, and a past member of Lavallette First Aid Squad Mrs. Rogers was born in Hoboken, and lived in Woodcliff Lake before moving to Lavallette in 1975. Mr. Rum, known as "Mike," was a lathe operator for Thomas Edison Bloomfield, for 45 years, until 1974, and then became the owner and proprietor of Mike's Hot Dog Stand, Newark, for nine years, until retiring. He was a communicant of St.

Justin's Roman Catholic Church, Dover Township. Mr. Rum was a member of the Ironbound Senior Citizens Center, Newark. Born in Isola del Giglio, Italy, he came to the United States in 1924 settling in Newark, where he lived most of his life before moving to Toms River 10 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Odilia An-dreini Rum; a son, Anthony, El Paso, Texas; a daughter, Diana J.

Orlando, Edison Township; a sister, Anizara Schiafino, Isola del Giglio, and three grandchildren. Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, Toms River, in in charge of arrangements. PRESCOTT A. SHIBLES, so, of County, Toms River, and was a licensed practical nurse at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Stafford Township. She was the former owner of Marion's Art Supplies, Peahala Park, Long Beach Island; the Garbage Disposal Peahala Park, and Barnetts Ice Cream Store, Ship Bottom.

She was a local artist under the name Marion Jarvis. Born in Acushnet, Mrs. Hyde was a resident of Long Beach Island, moving to Brighton at Barnegat 16 years ago. Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Jarvis-Bohren, Stockton section of Galloway Township, and Long Beach Island; and Lynn Jarvis-Payne, Stockton; a son, Frederick David Jarvis, Boston; a brother, John McNair, Massachusetts, and four grandchildren. JOHN MITCHELL, 82, of Holiday City, BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, died at the Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a custodial engineer for the New York Public Library System, Tomkins Square Branch, New York, for 35 years retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Fisherman's Club, the Men's Club, the Social Club, and the Bowling League, all of Holiday City. He was also team captain and manager of the Cougars Baseball Team at Holiday City and received the Babe Ruth Award in 1989. Mr.

Mitchell was born in Chicago and lived in New York before moving to Holiday City in 1973. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Milo Mitchell; three daughters of Helen Mitchell, New York, Irene Mitchell-Hirchberg of Hudson, N.Y., and Carolyn Rhodes of Norwalk, and one grandchild. Timothy E. Born in Brooklyn she lived in the West Keansburg section of Hazlet Township for many years before moving to Beachwood 29 years ago. Her husband, William, died in 1977. Surviving are two daughters, Betsy Folscher, Toms River, and Mary Lou Cooper, West Windsor Township; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. PATRAN, 87, of DOVER TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Mrs. Patran was a member of Most Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, Astoria, N.Y. Born in France, she came to the United States in 1929 living in Long Island City, N.Y., before she moved to Dover Township two years ago. Her husband, Aime, died in 1975.

Surviving are a son, Pierre-Jean, Boynton Beach, formerly of NORMANDY BEACH, died Saturday at his home. He was a firefighter for General Services Administration, Belle Mead Depot for 34 years retiring in 1975. He was a World War II Army veteran, taking part in the D-Day Invasion of Normandy Beach. He was a communicant of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, Boynton Beach.

Mr. Shibles was born in Knox, Maine, and lived in New Brunswick for 50 Normandy Beach fo 15 years before moving to Boynton Beach 10 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Welsh Shibles; a son, John Sea Girt; a daughter, Laura Jane Shibles, Reston, a sister, Laura Marsh, Bethlehem, and two grandchildren. Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, Island Park, is in charge of arrangements. HARRY SMITH, 58, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, whose daughter lives in BRICK TOWNSHIP, died Sunday at Englewood Hospital.

Mr. Smith retired eight years ago an engineer from Western Electric Kearny, where he worked for 25 years. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of Western Electric, and was a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Bayonne. Surviving are his wife Dorothy Na-lesnik Smith; three daughters, Pam Amundson, Doreen Smith-Gore, and Laurie Cherchio, Brick Township; his mother, Catherine Gere, and five grandchildren.

Born in Jersey City, she lived in Bergen County before moving to Toms River 22 years ago. BIDDLE A. TALLMAN, 89, of Hamilton Township, whose son lives in WARETOWN, died Saturday at Ran-coccas Valley Hospital, Willingboro Township. Mr. Tallman retired from the Mercer County Bridge Department. He was a member of the Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church, Hamilton Township, and Free and Accepted Masons, Mount Moriah 28, Bordentown.

Mr. Tallman was born in Columbus, and lived in the White Horse section of Hamilton Township most of his life. He is predeceased by his wife, Ruth Jackson Tallman. Surviving are a son, William Craig, Waretown; three daughters, Virginia Feldman and Beverly Hendrickson, both of Bordentown Township, and Shirley Pyle, Greensboro, N.C; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. GIOVANNA DI STASIO SCARPA WEINOWITZ, 69, of BRICK TOWNSHIP, died Saturday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Unions, West New York. Born in Italy, she came to the United States in 1945 living in Paramus before moving to Brick Township five years ago. She was predeceased by her first husband, Dominic Scarpa, in 1986, and her second husband, Martin Weino-witz, in 1992. Surviving are three daughters, Phyllis Maglone and Nina Valentine, both of Brick, and Ann Stuber, Warwick, N.Y.; three brothers, Robert and Joseph Di Stasio, both of Gillette section of Passaic Township, and Anthony Di Stasio of Italy; two sisters, Irma Di Stasio, Paramus, and Susan Di Stasio, New York; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Combs was a member of the Wall United Methodist Church, Spring Lake Heights, and a past volunteer at MCOSS, Manasquaru In the late 1980s she unsuccessfully tried to save the "Palace." Born Wall Township, she lived in Spring Lake Heights, before moving to Spring Lake eight years ago. Her husband, Stanley (Jiggs), died in 1978. Surviving are a daughter, Shirley M. F. BENNIE L. COVIN, 63, of LONG BRANCH, died Sunday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, after a' lengthy illness. He was a self-employed gardener. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church, Neptune, and the church's deacon board.
