One is the return of riiRKY COMO, which is good news for all. There's a small new look to his program this year among other innovations, he'll just stand there, all by himself, to his opening number, unfettered by a big production number. This week's opener will be "Volare," which sets the tone for the show, a sort of informal story of his trirto Italy this summer. Robert Preston of "The Music Man" will sing "Trouble" from that show, Maureen O'Hara will show off her beauty and surprisingly lovely singing voice, Jimmy Van Heu-sen will join Perry in a request-bit of all-Van Heuscn songs.

One number will find Perry and Preston trying to play musical instruments, then handing them to people in the studio audience who turn out to be musicians of the caliber of Kenton, Tony Pastor and Ray Mc-Kinley. Welcome back. 89. Channels 6, 7, .11. Color.

The brains part will, the producers hope, present questions more dramatically than in the past. The two golfers, matching shots from the Wing Foot Country Club in Mama-roneck, N.
