It was the highest total in three weeks, but it did not include ail of the 30 men killed in three North. Vietnamese shelling attacks last Friday. A spokesman for the command, Maj. Richard Gardner, said he did not know how many of the 30 were included and how many were not. He said those who were not were omitted because of delays in the reporting system.

Gardner said the rest would be included in this week's total, which will be announced nfext Thursday. Another 50 Americans were wounded in the three attacks, all of which were made on U.S. bases in South Vietnam's northernmost provinces. Most of the casualties occurred at a base called Charlie 2, just below the demilitarized zone. The weekly summary reported 92 Americans wounded in action last week, a sharp drop from 240 the previous week and the lowest total since Jan.
