viVi 1 to the United States in 1941 after dominated Indo-China. They returned aboard the famous Gripsholm and the Asaina Maru at the time of the diplomatic exchange of nationals between the united States and Japan. He was born in Atlanta, Ga but his many years in foreign coun tries and the knowledge of several different languages have enriched his speech so that you'd never guess he was a Southerner. Converted at the age of 17, Pruett soon felt the call to the ministry, and two years later began his studies at the Missionary Training Institute of Nyack, N. V.

Following his graduation from that school in 1922, he entered the pastorate of Ensley, and then received an appointment to go to French Indo-China as a missionary under the Christian and Missionary Alliance. The appointment required him first to go to France -to study the French language. He later studied at the University of Grenoble and at the Alliance Francaise, obtaining his superior diploma. PRUETT then went to Indo-China where his ministry extended to many towns and villages throughout the country. As he became more proficient in the language, he baptized hundreds of converts, established and built churches, edited a Bible magazine in Annamese, conducted Bible schools and worked with the Committee on the Revision of the Annamese Bible.

At the end of the war, the Pruetts decided it was impossible to resume their missionary work. The Annamese had been under French control for more than a century, and missionary work there has been seriously hampered and cur tailed since the war. So the Pruetts came to Akron in March, 1947.

BILLINGTON YOUR FAMILY TO SECURITY Steering trie destiny of a family is much like driving a car. Careful steering along the right road can bring you quickly and comfortably to any desired destina-tion. Carelessness, on the other hand, can put the family fortunes in a ditch. First stop on the road to security is the opening of a savings account at the Citizens Savings and Loan Company. Mark 10:9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

The recent ruling that has been passed by the Catholic church concerning marriage causes me to answer in my Sunday night message at 7:30 P. M. I assure you this will be a friendly message toward the Catholic people and a message that every Catholic should hear from the Holy Bible. Every Protestant should hear this message also. I will answer the question pertaining to childrenwho should raise them? what teaching they should have what age they ought to be placed In the church or to place themselves In the church? If you miss Sunday night's message at 7:30 P.

M. you will always wonder what God has to aay about Catholics and Protestants marrying. This may be the answer to many a couple already married and many who are planning to get married. Dr. Billlngton promises this will be a daring, yet tender, message to both parties.
